  Ignition advancer
Posted by: nickodemon - 20-03-12, 06:05 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (7)

I've got a +4 degree advancer on my full monty gen 1 fazer. There isn't that much of a difference compared to the standard advancer, but i also have a stock fazer with only a fairly quite race can (venom) fitted and was wondering if an ignition advancer would improve it. I know the best thing to do is fit an ivans kit, but i've already got one of those!  8) and just wanted a fairly cheap way to get crisper throttle response and also remove the very slight surging you get with the stock bike. Cheers in advance - Get it! :rollin

  The computer say's NO...!

Hello all, I want to fit some side panniers to my gen 1. Don't like the look of givi's e21's but do like the v35's. Two dealers have both said they don't list anything other than the e21 side rack. I know there is a weight issue but am sure I've seen gen 1's with other panniers. Has anyone fitted other panniers, if so what rack did they use ? and have you had any issues with them. If only givi did a v21 styled like the v 35's I'd go for them as I can see the width of the 35's could cause problems filtering. So come on let me tap in to this font of experience... Big Grin

'Whats the big deal about tulisas sex video. If you want to see a chav tugging a fazer. Go to portsea and find a yamaha without a bike lock'

Now do I feel proud or tell him off?....he is 25 right enough

Theres no off topic section so here it goes

Try this out but don't look at the movie list till you have done the maths!

Try this test and find out what movie is your favourite. This amazing maths quiz can
likely predict which of 18 films you would enjoy the most. Don't ask me how, but it really works!

Movie Test:

Pick a number from 1-9.

Multiply by 3.

Add 3.

Multiply by 3 again.

Now add the two digits together to find your predicted favourite movie in the list of 18 movies below.

Movie List:

1. Gone With The Wind
2. E.T.
3. Beverly Hills Cop
4. Star Wars
5. Forrest Gump
6. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
7. Jaws
8. Grease
9. The Joys of Anal Sex With A Goat
10. Casablanca
11. Jurassic Park
12. Shrek
13. Pirates of the Caribbean
14. Titanic
15. Raiders Of The Lost Ark
16. Home Alone
17. Mrs. Doubtfire
18. Toy Story

For Sale - Ventura Luggage for Gen1 Fazer 1000
Posted by: joyceeboy - 20-03-12, 10:54 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (9)

Already posted in For Sale/Wanted but thought I could be a bit more focused here.  I have for sale a complete Ventura luggage system to fit first generation Fazer 1000. The L bars are simple to fit by simple removing the rear grab handles and fitting the bars using the original bolts with spacer washers supplied. The rack simply locks onto the bars and the pack slips over the top. I can fit the system in little over 5 minutes so I don't leave it on the bike. The pack takes enough for many days away and is very stable on the bike. A second bag can be attached to the first if you're leaving home permanantly! The rack will fit many other bikes using the appropriate bike specific L bars.

Here is a list of the parts which together would cost £280. I got the L bars on eBay and the rest brand new as they ususally get snapped up pretty quickly with not much discount. I'm looking for £150. I'm in Coventry so if you are interested you can pick them up or I will be willing to meet within 30 miles or so.

Y075/B L brackets (RRP £83.54)
PF13/B Rack Pack (RRP £62)
GH13/19/B Grab Handle (RRP £20)
Aero-Spada VII 51 Ltr pack (RRP £112)

Cheers,

Ian

My first time off for a few days and I've had to move half a dozen posts into the right sections. This should not be necessary as there are now less forums and the individual bike forums are much more active.

Thanks to all those who provide answers in those bike forums :thumbup
