| Dog Bones/Front forks |

What is the standard length for dog bones please?
My bike has some shiny anodised things on, that have obviously replaced the originals. Reason for asking, want to use the bike for touring, with me, the missus and luggage, and dont want to bottom out.
Also, the front forks are through the yokes by about 25-30 mm, is this standard or has someone been lowering things?
Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi everyone. This is my second post. I wrote on here two weeks ago when asking advice whether to buy a fzs600 2002 or a fz6 for my first bike. Well I went for the fzs600 and I love it. It's mint as well!
Anyway my question is my bike was sold as a fzs600's'. What are the differences between a fzs600 and a fzs600s if there are any or are they really the same bike?

Hi first post, I own a 02 fzs600. Had her for close to 5 years now. Anyway went to go to work this morning and all I got was click click click.... Ok flat battery.. No. Lights strong, no dip when starter button pressed. So I rocked her in gear and then pressed start button And she turned over and started. Tried this several times and same result. Took starter motor off and gave it squirt of lube etc and replaced, same click click until I out put in gear and rock. In hindsight I should have checked starter was turning before replacing. Anyway has anyone any ideas, suggestions?

Been out for a ride and meet today, overall a nice pleasant day out on my pride and joy, stopped at my brothers house on the way home for some tea, the bike parked on the street, right outside his gate. Just sat watching some telly and suddenly my alarm on the bike starts bleeping and goes off. I rushed outside to find the bike laid on its side in the middle of the road and some little scroats high tailing it away from the scene! Didnt bother chasing them (I'm not as fit as I used to be!), so checked out the bike. Apart from a bent clutch lever and some scratches to the belly pan and generator casing all seemed well. When I got home, all of two miles away, I noticed my cooling fan was on! This is a rare happening, especially as its a cool night. Has anyone dropped their bike and discovered any coolant leaking out?

Bike failed MOT on Yesterday.
Front brakes binding to excess. Had both Calipers off, cleaned up and all seems to be good but the front wheel does still seem to stick, maybe not as bad but i have to take it back for Monday Re-Test?

I've been having an interesting discussion with someone on facebook regarding St. Patrick's day and it got me thinking about nationality. As there is a large geographic spread on here I was wondering what people from each of the respective nations think,
If you are born in England/Scotland/Wales are you English/Scottish/Welsh or British?
This thread isn't intended to be a platform for the type of racism it could easily degenerate into, I was just wondering how the home nations view their relationship with British nationality.
I personally see myself as English before British but in the same respect I see myself a Yorkshireman before an Englishman.

Going to sell my front end R1 conversion if anyone fancies a ready to bolt on conversion. I've only just built the thing and very happy with it too, however a lovely little cr250 has landed in me lap and I want to put some cash towards doing it up. The forks are 4xv, with 4xv bottom clamp, fazer stem, spacer from Justy, top clamp is cnc company (couple of small marks but near mint), fender is new off fleabay. Forks are in good condition, seals are good, few small marks, rebound adjusters are a little chewed by some hamfisted twiddler but work fine. Not bothered if it stays with me really, but could save someone a bit of time if they are thinking about doing the conversion.
