| Centre stand fittings??? |

Hi all,
I've just bought myself a centrestand on eBay for my '98 FZS600, but it didn't come with any of the fittings (springs, nuts, bolts etc)
Where would be the best place to get these remaining bits? I've tried WeMoto, eBay, cmsnl.com etc but not found them yet!
I rang my local Yam dealer and he suggested that he could kit me out for £50, which seems a bit steep to me.
Cheers,
Ollie

Guys do you think i could get 5k if i sold my fazer and all the extra's ??
I would be putting the fazer back to standard and selling it and i would sell all the accessories on there own..
As i already learned that most people would not pay any extra for a motorbike with accessories fitted to it..
My Bike details are
2008 gen2 FZ1-S with ABS (Done just under 5000miles)
Accessories details are
Full Yoshimura R-77 exhaust System
Sargent front & rear seats
Power command PCV 5
Auto tune
Ivan flys
Ivan FCE
LED rear light
MRV adjustable screen
Givi rack + Givi V46 monokey box

Hi
my partner and i are wanting to do cairo to cape town around september 2013.
we are wanting to hire the bikes (bmws) and want a guide for easy negotiation through the borders.
we want to cut costs where we can and dont have a problem sleeping under a tarp rather than hotels (obv cant do that in cities though)
All the tours ive found at the moment are extensive offering 4* hotels etc. but are charging $25,000 (£16,000) we'd prefer to keep it to £5000.
Has anybody done one of these tours or done it independently and if so, how was it and how much did it cost?
did you use your own bike or a rental?
any advice / reccomendations welcome.
cheers

| Rev and speedo needles going up and down |

Took the bike for the sea last few weeks. Lots of nice twistyes. No problems at all, except occasionally speed and revs "needles" would drop down to zero, simultaneously. Stay down for a second-two. Then go back to where they should be. Such things happened when I was holding steady throttle usually, or slowing down just slightly. It would usually happen twice, then not appear for a while. Is it some speedo breakdown, electrical problem, or an malfunction code?
The bike is 2001 FZS600. KN air filter, open end can, dyno jet kit.

I am in Gloucestershire (Tewkesbury) and have around £2.5k to play with.
