Hello everyone.
I have heard & read great things about FOC and am looking forward to joining the gang.
I have owned my '52 FZS600 foxeye for a couple of years, having passed my DAS three years ago.
I am a 49 year old guy from Cwmbran in South Wales and, after looking around at loads of other bikes, have decided to stick with the Fazer and lavish her with the love and attention she deserves.
Ride safely everyone.

| How much would you pay to support your local dealer? |

I'm a great believer in supporting local businesses and don't usually mind if it's a little more expensive than buying online for the personal touch and ease of nipping down the road instead of the hassle of emails, phone calls, missing delivery slots and return postage if something goes wrong. However, I'm looking at getting some hard luggage (Givi) and the price difference is ridiculous. For the cost of the 46 litre box from the dealer, I can get a 55 litre + backrest online!!
So, should there come a point when the additional cost of a local shop becomes too great to keep your business or should we support local businesses at all costs?

Went to the hospital today for a follow up to a MRI scan I had done a few weeks a go,the doctor told me my back was very worn with bulging discs and even a slightly slipped disc, basically my back has worn prematurely ,so I'm hoping I can still ride a bike for a few years yet as there is nothing the doctors can do.i am only 47 so not yet for the knackers yard yet but parts of me seem to be going that way lol.

| Help with front end setting for a trip to France |

Hi everybodyNext month I will be doing a 26 days touring-trip around southern France and the Pyrenees with my girl. My Gen1 FZS 1000 is gonna be loaded almost to the limit. Wont have too much time to try suspension settings cos Im working long hours, and this would be my first trip with it as I got it a couple months ago (after 9 years with a FZS 600) so I dont know it that much (though I bought it 350 miles away from home and rode it back...).
I want to work a little with the front end cos I know all the weight in the back is gonna make it feel "light". Any advices as to where to start from? Ive been reading about "dropping the forks" and stuff; do you think this would help? Is this doable for a regular person (if so, any advice would be very much appreciated) or should it be done by a mechanic? Everything is standard.
Thanxs!!!

A friend of mine died a few weeks ago from a heart attack and his wife needs to sell his bike.
It was 1st registered in June 2011 by the dealer and my friend bought from them 4 weeks ago.
It is the Street Triple R in Phantom Black with gold wheels
It has a matching seat cowl and belly pan fitted and also a tail tidy, not sure of the make.
mileage is 1522 so very low and is in immaculate condition as you would expect.
Bike is located in Fareham
She is asking £6k which isn't bad as it cost him £7k a month ago.
If interested then please give me a PM and I can supply contact details, of course I would appreciate not mentioning the sad loss of her husband.
Cheers all

Hi, had FCE fitted today whilst FZ1N (08) was in for service....runs so much better (much less snatchy throttle Etc) BUT now ive got the yellow Engine (management) light on permanently !? The bike appears to run fine. service garage (not official Yamaha dealer but good lads) said to take to main dealer for reset. Did that & although light is on there is no error codes ?? which is good i can hear you say :-)...however problem is if its just because ECU has got knickers in a twist about wiring loom mods and Ivans little wonder gizmo worrying it and its just the light on ....im concerned that if I do have another unrelated issue wioth bike i wont know until its TOO LATE due to light being on all the time !? Is there anyone else who has heard of this problem ? or knows how to get around it and get light off. Both dealers and myself have tried to reset but to no avail :-(
many thanks in advance if anyone can help :-)
