Going blind looking through pages on e-bay trying to find the black (obv) rubber ovals which cover the grab rail risers (between the grab rail itself and the fairing) on my 99 FZS600. Anyone got spare? Or know where I can order the part?

Thanks

  fork help required please
Posted by: DaveMc - 28-06-12, 07:50 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (4)

Hello all,
I'm mid job of replacing the seals in both my forks, had the bike since november, but I've been in the gulf since Dec, so it's been put off for a while!!! it's a 54 plate fazer 1000.
Anyway, stripping down the forks and all the internals came out complete on the nearside fork ( this had been taken apart by the previous owner, who chaanged the seals before I bought it, though they are now leaking only a year later), but the other one i can't get the bottom half of the internals out of the tube, the bottom bolt that holds them in the base of the tube feels like it's just spinning. I've got 2 nuts on the end of the damper rod so i can get a socket on it and hold it still. Am I just not applying enough downward force? or do I need a specialist tool?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Help! What happening to my bike?
Posted by: chunk166 - 28-06-12, 07:36 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (18)

For some reason my bike (02 Foxeye) has developed a stutter/misfire below 3,000 rpm :rolleyes  but its an intermittent so i'm not sure if its the coils playing up or a plug that might be on its way out? I did have a similar problem 10 days ago when we had heavy rain but surly if it was water it would have dried out by now unless there's water in my tank???? I am going to order a set of plugs just to be on the safe side, what do you guys reckon?

Cheers in advance for any replies  :lol :lol :lol

Help.....My FZ1n seems to have developed an annoying habbit of not always starting when I press the button. It seems to be an intermittent affair as usually after a couple of goes it does start, but I am waiting for the time when I refuel and it doesnt. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this? thankyou in advance Smile

Where can I get my wheels powder coated gold
Posted by: Capt - 28-06-12, 01:16 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (14)

Recently, A blue Gen 1 Fzs1000 like my own stopped next to me at some lights fitted with what looked like standard wheels painted gold.  I was in my car so I couldn't stop him.

I have seen this same colour on wheels of 08 blue R1, as now mine is a keeper does anyone know where there is a Company capable of doing the same transformation?  I don't mind paying or travelling for a good job done.

Any recomendations appreciated.

  Route Suggestions - Manchester
Posted by: breadlord - 28-06-12, 11:40 AM - Forum: General - Replies (9)

Going to my mate's house over the weekend for a rideout before I leave for the weekend, up in Manchester. Used to live up there myself, but I was a cager, so I only know the motorways.

Any ideas for a loop, starting and ending in Manchester, with a length of about 4 / 5 hours? He's a cruiser rider, so nothing too arduous...
