  Seized rad guard screws....!
Posted by: JayB - 29-10-12, 12:18 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Any tips! bloody previous owner seriously neglected the bike and left it to corrode over / after winter, I am rectifying this, slowly, but I cannot remove the old rusty guard to fit the new one...  :'(

HELP!

Do I drill them, try it with the bike hot, use a blow torch, what?!

  Fitted my Renthal 758s
Posted by: JayB - 29-10-12, 12:15 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (7)

Finally a dry day yesterday and I had enough time to do a couple of jobs on the bike.
Took off the old original bars and fitted the Renthals, sadly I didn;t get time to take her out for a test ride, but sat on it and shunting around the garden I could feel an improvement. The main difference aside from the lower height is the difference in the amount the bars sweep back in at the ends, the grips are straighter now, feels much better.
Can't wait for a ride to work tomorrow...  Big Grin

  LED wiring questions
Posted by: Panthor - 29-10-12, 11:40 AM - Forum: General - Replies (6)

I was wondering if someone here could help me out. I need to wire 4 leds to run off a normal household battery (eg 9v rectangle one, or something like that) with an on/off switch and as i have never really done something like this before i thought id get some advice so i do it right.  Ive done a quick diagram to show what i was thinking but i have a few questions:
What size/voltage battery?
What gauge wire?
What resistors?
Also can i use any switch? The one i like is an on/off 12v toggle switch

Just wanted to add that the LEDs spec is: Forward voltage 3.2 - 3.6  Forward current 20 - 30

Thanks

O.K so sick of mine misting up,and was thinking of a new helmet anyways.I,m sure i read somewhere that some of these things do not mist up due to certain things eg double visor and so on.A lot of them on e bay say they have a electric visor so is that electric heated or electric positioning. This for example,http://www.ebay.com/itm/HJC-CL-Max-2-Ele...se&vxp=mtr,so does anybody have any input or has anybody tried one coz if they do work it seems like a small price to pay for what it can do.
