rear brake - bm - 29-10-12 can a blue pot rear caliper be fitted to a fazer 600? or what else is good to replace the standard caliper ? Re: rear brake - Lumpy - 29-10-12 the 2000 fazer 1000 rer caliper fits with a little mod tot he bracket and is well worth the effort. Other will fit with some engineering nonce but the fazer thou one works well. Re: rear brake - kebab19 - 29-10-12 Make sure the Bluespot rear is off a Fazer 1000 and not an early R1 bluespot, as that won't fit. Another fairly easy fit is the Yam TRX850 rear caliper - thread on the old site below: http://fazerowners.yuku.com/topic/30096/trx850-rear-brake-now-fitted-to-2001-fazer-600#.UI6QxGdR1Kc Rear calipers from the YZF750, Thunderace & XJR1200/1300 may also fit, but no-one has tried them so not 100% sure about those... The Fazer 1000 & TRX 850 rear calipers will make a very noticeable difference - well worth doing Re: rear brake - caretaker - 29-10-12 the above trx mod is easiest. buy the caliper and holder and tourqe arm and the whole thing fits easypeasy. |
