Snowmobile helmet - Adrian6171 - 28-10-12 O.K so sick of mine misting up,and was thinking of a new helmet anyways.I,m sure i read somewhere that some of these things do not mist up due to certain things eg double visor and so on.A lot of them on e bay say they have a electric visor so is that electric heated or electric positioning. This for example,http://www.ebay.com/itm/HJC-CL-Max-2-Electric-Zader-Snowmobile-Helmet-Gray-S-Small-Modular-Grey-Snow-/170924674847?hash=item27cbe78f1f&item=170924674847&pt=Apparel_Merchandise&vxp=mtr,so does anybody have any input or has anybody tried one coz if they do work it seems like a small price to pay for what it can do. Regards Ady Re: Snowmobile helmet - BBROWN1664 - 28-10-12 Erm, am I missing something? These are not motorcycle helmets and are not approved for road/track use? Re: Snowmobile helmet - Adrian6171 - 28-10-12 I,m sure i have seen some that meet the iso standard, but not 100% sure. Re: Snowmobile helmet - ghostbiker - 28-10-12 Just fit Pinloc system. No more misting Re: Snowmobile helmet - Adrian6171 - 28-10-12 Have thought about it,if the kit cost me 18 squid then how long would it be before i would have to buy more, never looked at them in detail just priced them. Re: Snowmobile helmet - ponkster - 28-10-12 Pinlock is the way to go - Ive had one fitted a while now and never mists up , you dont need to change any thing once fitted . You can fit different colour interior visor -b ut its not like they wear out or anything like that. Re: Snowmobile helmet - Adrian6171 - 28-10-12 Just had a look at these pinlock systems and looks like the way to go,will be ordering in the next day or so. ![]() Re: Snowmobile helmet - ponkster - 29-10-12 I think you will find it will do the job and be well worth the money , I dont breath trough my nose and used to have big problems with misting up even on dry warm days - I tried all the the other aids such as foggy masks and visor coatings but still had to go through the ritual of opening the visor every time I stopped. It does take a bit of getting used to having you visor closed all the time ( they work best like that) but you will wonder why you didnt buy one years ago. Cracking thing pinlock, I tend to change mine when I get a new visor Re: Snowmobile helmet - budgiemurray - 31-10-12 Last helmet i bought - a Caberg Duke flip lid - has the pinlock..brilliant things, first few rides i kept checking my visor was down as it was so clear and mist free. Any helmet i get in fuure ill make sure it has the pinlock option.. Budgie sent from somewhere beyond the rim. |
