  The worst thing is
Posted by: Mick-H - 29-01-13, 11:30 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (14)

As of 24/12/12 I'm back on a Fazer, I sold my first Fazer around 6 years ago (I should never have sold it  :'( )  and have missed it ever since the day it went.
Now I'm back and the worst thing is, I know exactly what I want for it,  + a few things that weren't about 6 years ago and this is where the problem lies, because I know what I want I'm like a big kid I can't wait, the list so far is.
Corbin seat, Staintune can, Rennthal 755's, Ivans AIS kit, Carbon belly pan, Carbon fairing infill's, Carbon radiator sides, Powder coated wheels, Powder coated footrest hangers, Powder coated frame protectors, Flashy frame plugs, Anodized footrest, front/rear and R6 shock conversion that's the thing that wasn't about 6 years ago.
God knows what the Mrs will say if she finds out. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  Wink

New member with a new trick, Servo Motor Eliminator
Posted by: Adam Mex - 29-01-13, 11:20 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

Hi all. Just joined, want to share this Exup/Servo fault fix with you all cos there's nothing available on the open market.

Had to bin the Exup valve on my FZS1000 2003. Got my german fazer rider friend (electronics expert too) to make a servo eliminator. Works perfect. Have binned the exup, cables and servo motor and have no tacho fault warning. Want to do the same? I have 2 servo eliminators to sell on ebay. You have to seal the unit yourself, explanation on e-bay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...1071501078 £30+£2.95P&P Now you can fit a full aftermarket exhaust system without the tacho playing pin-ball.

  Brakes!
Posted by: Hobgoblin - 29-01-13, 11:02 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (8)

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, new to the Fazer, and new to motorcycling full stop!
Could anyone suggest brake pads for the fazer 600 1999, I use the bike for mainly dry weekend rides, although I'm off to France on it in July.
I'm dubious about cheap pads and don't know what was fitted as standard, GG or HH. But can cheap pads really be that bad, I don't know?!
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks fellow Fazer owners.
Keith.

  Font of knowledge PC question
Posted by: Kosmic Kartman - 29-01-13, 09:48 PM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

Running Windows Vista Basic.

Along the bottom of the screen is a strip with icons. One of which is a double computer screen with a red cross that turns into a globe to show you when you're connected to the www.

Problem. It's stopped working and shows I'm not connected even when I am. Even if I hover over with the curser it says not connected.

Any ideas how to get it working again.

My PC skills are pretty shite so go easy please.

Has anyone fitted Renthal 789's to the mk1 fazer 600? If so, were there any clearance issues. Big Grin

  Front Fork Suspension Upgrade
Posted by: bigbluebear - 29-01-13, 07:01 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (13)

Any recommendations on the best replacement springs for a front fork suspension upgrade. Its getting a bit too soft and dives down too much for my liking. The setting is also maxed out and have fitted a Nitron NTR Sport on the back.....any suggestions are welcome.
