Since I bought my Fazer almost 2 years ago, I have changed many things on it. Some of these things draw power from the battery (Twin running lamps, digital gear indicator, heated grips, 12V socket, alarm...You get the idea).

My problem is the immense drain on the battery. I want to know how to rectify this problem as I have growen rather used to my "mod-cons" and don't want to remove them. Infact, I would like to fit more.

I have been told that changing the head lamps to an HID kit will save some power, so I bought one and will fit that soon enough. I was also told LED lights at the tail save some more power, so £50 from a German company buys that.

Will this be enough? Can I fit a second battery? Or get more juice into the existing unit?

How long is the std can of the bike? Im away from it at the moment and am without a tape.

w-reg 2000 model. only 25000 miles. tax till october. mot till may. goes like the clappers but i've got myself a versys so it has to go. has been used over the winter so needs a good polish. fork bottoms are a bit scabby but everything works as it should. new tyres 200 odd miles ago. new DID gold chain and sprox at the same time.  £1500 no haggling!  bike is in carmarthen, west wales. 07794420758  pete.

I've got an air filter for my fzs600 - it's a Green cotton one. Got it cheap and it's supposed to be just as good as the K&N (or at least better than the old stock one that's been in there for 2 years now). It's second hand but unused... the box looks like it's been knocking around someone's shed for ages.
Being a bit ignroant about these things - I've only just realised that I might need to oil it. Do I?
If so, what oil can I use? Do I have to buy the expensive stuff from either the Green Filter company or K&N? Or will something else do.....?
I've read that not oiling it will hurt my engine  :\

hey folks....

have just recently purchased some bluetooth  headsets which are brilliant..... but..... they dont fit in the helmets very well....

any one got any experience with helmets and aftermarket bluetooth sets? Am thinking of getting a couple of new helmets? poss Caberg or Shark?
Ideas people please???

So my rear brake binds ('99 FZS600), I hear it's a common problem, some people have mentioned that an fazer thou rear caliper will fit with a small bit of filing, others say that there's no way it'll fit, theyve tried, and it doesn't work...

Does it work? Is it a worthwhile mod? If so, which model bikes will fit?

Got a part worn set sitting in my conservatory if anyones interested, easy 3mm of tread on the back and 4mm on the front? Taken off my FZS1000, have never really gotten on with Maxxis and much prefer Michelins.
