  radiator bracket bolt
Posted by: bludclot - 20-03-13, 08:10 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - No Replies

cleaning today revealed that the bolt that attaches to the front of the engine that holds the arm that holds the radiator in place at the bottom has made a successful bid for freedom.

the part number is 95827-06012.

ebay has only 95817-06012 listings however - does anyone know whether these are the same length and pitch? failing that does anyone have one of these bolts spare or know the length and pitch so that i can replace mine please?

perhaps not the most exciting post ever.....

  Carb Mixture Screws

Possibly a useless topic and redundant question, BUT

Is it actually possible to adjust the fuel mixture without having to remove the carbs?

  Coffee (down my shirt)
Posted by: Liroka - 20-03-13, 02:37 PM - Forum: General - Replies (21)

I went to the shop at work for a coffee earlier and on my way back to the office I passed some people from the contact centre upstairs who were deep in conversation. I caught part of that conversation and now I have to sit in a slightly coffee stained shirt for the rest of the afternoon.  :o Wink

Bloke: "That's OK, you don't have to look at her, just buy a double ender and bash your bums together!"

Ok im sure youve all heard it before but... At the RAF reunion dinner the WW2 polish fighter ace is invited to make the after dinner speech. He relates the story of a sortie over the channel saying, the sky was clear  when i noticed a foccer above me i looked behind and there was another foccer, with that the RAF bloke jumps in and says i must point out that the foccer was a german aircraft, ya the pole says and these foccers were meserschmits.

  How tight is hand tight?
Posted by: slappy - 20-03-13, 12:43 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (6)

I changed my oil and filter yesterday and was just wondering how do you know the oil filter is on tight enough when you just do it up hand tight. How tight is it meant to be? What I consider hand tight is going to be different from other people. I am always slightly paranoid afterwards that it is too loose and will lose oil or that it is too tight and has deformed and will leak. I use work gloves that give a good grip, any one else have any other method that they use?
