I'm Dave, a few weeks ago I got my 50th birthday present from my wife,a 03 Fazer1000 oh joy!!Its been Ivanized with modified inlet rubbers Blueflame exhaust k&n, R6 shock mod plus numerous other stuff. I'm fitting some givi luggage on it and plan on doing a bit of touring maybe the Highlands. I will no doubt be picking your collective brains in the near future and I'm glad to be aboard!

I'm talking about the first generation ones. There's no doubt they are a great bike and I think all bikers respect them for how good they are but I don't think they'll make it to the status of classic bike mainly because they're too good! They're so good that people use them as their everyday work horse for battling through all sorts of weather while their fancy sportsbikes or whatever are parked up nice and warm in the shed under a blanket the Fazer's are out there in the shite getting you where you need to go and not complaining an ounce! But because of that I wonder will there be any left in 20 or 30 years or will they all be ridden into the ground? What do you think will they be a classic bike?

| FZS600 ECU Problems? |

Hi,
Has anyone had an issue with the ECU on a 03 FZS600?
Bike will start and run no problem 90% of the time, sometimes it will turn, turn, turn and then eventually fire up.
There is obviously an intermittent problem but has anyone else had this ECU issue with a Fazer?
Ive had it checked over and wiring / coils / battery / charging all seam to be ok.
Losing confidence in the bike which is a shame as this is my second fazer and not ready to change yet.
Thanks
Robert
