Electroluminescent paint... - Buzz - 22-03-13 Looks pretty cool.......or not? No "glowing helmet" jokes please. LumiLor From Darkside Scientific Unveiling at Main Street Station Daytona Bike Week 2013 Re: Electroluminescent paint... - DryRob - 22-03-13 Did Joel Schumacher paint this bike? :lol Re: Electroluminescent paint... - His Dudeness - 22-03-13 Bike what bike? :lol Could be useful stuff. Don't think I'd paint a bike with it though. Re: Electroluminescent paint... - Revilo18 - 22-03-13 I'd like to just paint it on my my seat and ingnition locks so's I can find the damn things in the dark! But it needs the bike to be switched on to work...! :pokefun Re: Electroluminescent paint... - Revilo18 - 23-03-13 Hmmm that's quite a good point. You could have it motion activated and as long as it only draws a relatively low amount of current it could come on for a few second as you walk towards the bike.... but then again I could just use a torch. :oops Re: Electroluminescent paint... - Dead Eye - 23-03-13 (23-03-13, 12:26 PM)Grahamm link Wrote:
But it needs the bike to be switched on to work...! :pokefun
Could be connected direct to battery and have a waterproof switch on the outside of the bike to activate? Mind you, its a lot of work ![]() Re: Electroluminescent paint... - Grahamm - 23-03-13 (23-03-13, 07:08 PM)Revilo18 link Wrote: then again I could just use a torch. Or get some luminous paint!
Normal luminous paint only works by shining a light on it, this paint lights itself so it has a purpose. Re: Electroluminescent paint... - DryRob - 24-03-13 Is this definitely real stuff then? Any idea how it works?
There's also fluorescent paint that absorbs high wavelength light and releases lower wavelength light that is visible. |
