2000 FZS 600 Owner in Germany.
Posted by: blackvyper - 02-05-20, 08:02 AM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (9)

I am an American Fazer owner living here in Germany.  I bought this Fazer last year and had it delivered to me on the night of January 17, 2019.  The very next morning I was waiting with the bike so that I could get the appoval for my modifications.  Once I had that, I rode straight home and start cutting pieces off.  It was a simple and as fast as that.  I did do this in my garage in winter with a very small heater so the overall progress from delivery until "completion" actually took 34 days.  It was a great learning experience as I lerned that certain metalworking and painting aspects should be left to the professionals, but I did it anyway :p

Can anyone tell me how to cancel my membership of this forum. I am sick of reading posts dominated by a certain few dogmatic, bigoted members and no longer wish to be associated with this forum.

You've gotta love Haynes Manuals sometimes...!
Posted by: Grahamm - 26-04-20, 10:50 PM - Forum: General - Replies (15)

So, planning on doing some work on my bike, I'm looking through the list of instructions in Haynes.

Ok, do that?

No problems.

Unscrew this?

Simple.

Move that out the way?

Easy.

Remove the rear shock?

Piece of ca...

Hang on?

What?!  :eek

You could have mentioned that at the start, instead of casually chucking it in at about stage 8 of the process...!!

  Rear suspension parts

I've found play in my rear linkage and wondered if anyone has the part numbers to get them from bearing suppliers rather than being robbed by Yamaha?

  Anyone bought/used these?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8x-M6-Dome-Nu...%7Ciid%3A1
I bought a full Motad system a bit back with the idea of removing and storing my still solid original system. I know that the nuts aren't seized cos I have had them off and coppaslipped them, but I want to replace them with dome nuts when I fit the Motad.
