Hi,
So my search on the question did not provide me with an answer. I know that Gen1 Fazer radiator fan doesn't come on very often, not while idling on driveway anyway. But how do I check if everything is fine? Warm weather in and I'm a bit worried it may overheat if fan doesn't come on when needed. I don't think I've ever seen it come on.
I do know fan is OK as I plugged it to battery and it works. Is there a way to check if temp sensor turns it on when needed?
Thanks
Greg

Hi, I recently got an FZS600, returning to bikes after a decade or so off them.
I have noticed a ticking noise, I know there is a certain amount of noise as part of the character but it's been too long to remember exactly what that sounds like, bike only showing 17k miles so has been sat around a while in its life (1999 model).
Appreciate thoughts on this, videos below, sounds worse on videos but guess that helps identify things. Thanks

Hopefully I've posted this in the right place. [/size]

Evening guys,
Hope your all well, I have just found a near zero miles gen 1 s1000rr shock (bronze body). I am getting it modded with new bushes by a lad who done them before. It’s going on my fzs1000 2002 bike with low miles. I know they are meant to bolt straight in but is there anything else I should be looking for when fitting ? I wanted an R6 shock however they were all to much money on top. If the spring on this isn’t up to my weight of 100kg I’ll change it later. I bought it as it was one track day done on it and is pretty much brand new. I would love to know the spring rate on the gen 1 shock anyone ????
Cheers guys keep safe :evil :evil

Hi all. My first post on here. I’ve just picked up a 1998 FZS600 which a very clean and tidy bike. I’m hoping to build up some experience and have a go at the mechanics on my own.
I’m planning to service the bike starting with the valve clearances. Then onto a fuel filter change, plugs, air filter oil, carb balance and coolant flush to get me started.
I’ve been looking for a comprehensive ‘how to’ guide at completing the valve clearances but I’m struggling to find one. I do have a Haynes manual but would prefer something specific to this task including the prep work etc.
I’d speculate some support on this. Based in Sheffield.
Thanks all.
