Hello all,
I saw on this forum someone getting a Certificate of Conformity for their fzs1000. I am thinking of getting one and live just inside the proposed ulez zone. Does anyone know what I need to be looking out for if I buy one... which year/ model etc? Don't want to get caught out!!
Thanks a lot!

Hey guys ,
So I've been reading all the tps stuff and I'm pretty sure this isn't a speed sensor fault ,
The rev counter kinda gets hung up at 5000 then kinda wiggles it's way up , then gets stuck there again , never drops to zero like some of fault code stuff .
What can this be ?
I've checked the tps and the Speedo if in effected , working as usual
Cheers guys

A couple of years ago I put a set of 2002 (RPW) R1 upside down forks on my old ‘03 Fazer thou. I now have a leaky fork seal so will be replacing them both very soon. But my question is what weight oil have others used when changing their fork oil with the Fazer/R1 set up?

Hello all,
My 07 FZ1 has the same issue that has plagued a few FZ1s, a cracked factory weld in the frame. I'm going to try my luck with Yamaha as the bikes only done 12k miles and is in very good condition, but seeing as it's 13 years old, I expect they'll tell me to do one, I've seen a number of guys have managed getting the work done in the US, but don't know if anyone has had any luck in the UK with that?
Alternatively, I'll get the original weld ground down and the frame rewelded. Can anyone shed some light on if this can be done with the engine in place? I'm guessing not, but thought I'd ask just in case anyone on here has managed it. I'm planning on stripping it myself, but would like an idea of how big of a job it'll be and what needs to come off.
Thanks,

Hello everyone,
First of all: it is very nice to see such an active forum community in the time of facebook pages Last September I bought a Yamaha FZS600 Fazer, and it was a barely used one with all it’s pros and cons. The carbs were highly conteminated because of that and the needle valve stucked and my garage got a very nice petrol smell for a few months. So I oredered a carb repair kit, and also a Dynojet stage1, (mainjet and needle) kit for it. 3 weeks ago I finally have enough time for the carb cleaning and applying the new stuff in it. I can say that repair solved most of our problems: easy&smooth cold-warm start, nice idle, nice reaction at any RPM. So everything is fine except 1 little thing: fuel consumption. It’s increased to 9,2-9,3 liter/100 km (30 mpg) from the normal 5-6 liter/100 km (50 mpg).
My config ynojet stage 1 kit (3rd size mainjet 1 mallest 4:biggest, neddle clip in first position, based on the dynojet instructions), original airbox&filter, Mivv slipon muffler, new sparkplugs, pilotair screw out: 2,5 rounds
/I just have ordered a K&N airfilter, hopefullly I can apply it tomorrow/
Has anyone had any experience with Dynojet stage1 jetkits? If yes, then I'll really appreciate to see your config! Do you guys think this consumption increase is normal?Thank for the answers in advance!Zoltan

CB or Amateur Radio |

Although I'm an NHS key worker and I'm at work every day I am finding that I have free time at weekends and in the evenings which would normally be filled by going to the pub, so I was thinking about hobbies.
I can't play golf and I used to go fishing and got fed up with it so I started wondering about Radio Amateur stuff which my Dad used to do.
I had CB back in the early 1980's and loved it, I got right into it and would teak my rigs and ended up with quite a set up with some boots (ahem) which enabled me to go over the top of most transmitters!
Does anyone on here know if CB radio is still a thing?
If not I was wondering how hard/expensive it would be to get into Amateur Radio which I believe is short wave - do people chat over this or is just DX stuff to see how far you can get?
Just looking for something to fill the hours until the pub is open again!

I just took the two FREE car practical tests and passed but with 47 + 45/50 !!!
As ever I would argue some of their answers particularly the one about turning left ahead. I answered "No white lines" on the basis that Johnny racer may be approaching in the centre of the road as he rounds the bend ????
I'm sure some of you can better my scores????

Evening
I know this seems like a bizarre request, but I live in a block of flats and need something to lock my other bikes too. The reason for needing a bike so old is that 40yr old bike dont require an MOT, the tax amount is £0 and ins premium is negligible.
The bigger and heaver the bike the better, but within reason nothing over 250kg please. The bike dosen't have to be running, just been complete qand pushable (so the DVLA cant argue its been dumped as it can technically be a long term restore etc.)
thanks.
