remember these? - ogri48 - 04-07-20 doing up old bikes is fun most of the time. some things however.... :'( :'( :'( :'( Re: remember these? - ogri48 - 04-07-20 trying to fit them fiddly little bastards with my fat, old, arthritic wanking spanners is bad enough. gapping and timing them? :wall :wall :wall Re: remember these? - Gnasher - 04-07-20 Oh yes, had 3 on my KH250 and 750's. That looks like a GT550? Re: remember these? - mtread - 04-07-20 Makes you wonder why many classics have aftermarket cdi conversions :eek Re: remember these? - vinnyb - 04-07-20 I think I'd be looking for an electronic ignition conversion kit. Are Piranha or Boyer Brandsden still around? Re: remember these? - robbo - 04-07-20 Had enough of them on my '66 Bonneville. Boyer Bransden to the rescue :lol . Obviously purists would want bikes as they came out of the factory, but foc that, I wanted to ride mine rather than wave spanners at 'em. Re: remember these? - coffee - 05-07-20 I used to race a Rob North 3 and that was a bastard to start with points,we put RITA ignition on,just a few steps when the flag dropped and bang it was away. :woot Re: remember these? - robbo - 05-07-20 Carl Rosner is my local Triumph dealer. They're still campaigning a Slippery Sam rep in classics, and have raced that bike since it was current. I had Lucas Rita on my Bonnie as well at one stage. Can't remember now which one needed a deeper points cover(Boyer or Rita), but I do remember having the hump after fitting whichever one needed the deeper cover as it prevented the fitting a high level pipe on the right hand side, as that was the look I favoured at the time. Re: remember these? - mtread - 05-07-20 Bought my Speed Triple new from Carl Rosner. Good dealer :thumbup Re: remember these? - robbo - 05-07-20 (05-07-20, 12:17 PM)mtread link Wrote: Bought my Speed Triple new from Carl Rosner.
