Numb Bum - hightower - 08-06-13 So, how do we beat the dreaded numb bum - 250 miles on a Fazer has not been pleasant today. Are those gel seat covers actually a useful investment or are they a cop out? Re: Numb Bum - ponkster - 09-06-13 You just have to face the fact that its nothing to do with the bike and just the passage of time catching up with you - I find stopping every 200 miles and partaking in motorway service station aerobics helps. I have also perfected the on bike stand and stretch - however it seems to alarm cagers when done whilst overtaking on the autobahn ! Re: Numb Bum - stevierst - 09-06-13 Padded cycling shorts help a little. And ponksters 'on peg gymnastics' aleviate some of the aches and pains a little too. Re: Numb Bum - hightower - 09-06-13 I was stopping every hour, and I did so many peg stand moves I thought I could enter the Olympics for it. Oh well, just gonna have to limit how far I go each stint. Re: Numb Bum - Skippernick - 09-06-13 Try one of these, i had the same problem its cheaper than an airhawk or reupholstering the seat. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORCYCLE-COMFORT-SEAT-PAD-NOT-AIR-HAWK-NOT-GEL-HUNDREDS-SOLD-WORLDWIDE-/350804624485?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item51ad95c465 Re: Numb Bum - dickturpin - 09-06-13 ive just bought some compressable camping pillows...2 for £6 from sports direct....not tried them yet, but have attached elastic to secure them and.....they are my sleeping pillows when camping! |
