  Starting / Electircal issue.
Posted by: Davebo - 03-07-13, 03:22 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (8)

Went out to fill up and ended up with a knackered bike.

Filled up. Parked up. Went to start it again (might have confused it with the alarm). The hazards came on. Tried the hazard switched, no joy.

Switched off, armed the alarm, disarmed and it started OK, but the hazards stayed on - all the way home.  :o

Recycled and got the hazards oiff but now it won't start and i just get a clicking from under the seat.

I've removed all the relays and the ECU.

And this is after fully charging the battery at the weekend.

Boo hoo.  :'(

Please help ?

DBo.

Wanted: front bracket for a 2002 foxeye
Posted by: ajmes1 - 03-07-13, 07:17 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

Hi all,

Would anyone have the front bracket that hold the headlights/front fairing on hiding away in the deepest darkest depths of a garage?

My son arrived home this evening, complaining that his bike was jumping out of gear, clutch was slipping and making funny noises when pushing it into the garage.
We went out to have a look and I asked him to pull off the front sprocket cover.  Smile
How can you check the jumping out of gear that way he asked. :rolleyes
Wait and see I said  :eek
No prizes for guessing which one was on the shaft  :lol
New chain and sprockets tomorrow, needless to say I wasn't to impressed

  FZS1000 Petrol Tank for sale
Posted by: chraplywyj - 02-07-13, 10:18 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

Hi all

I'm selling a pristine thou petrol tank on eBay at the moment. I gave it a once over and so far as I can tell it's perfect. It has some rust around the filler nozzle from standing open for a while but that'll certainly clean up with a bit of wet and dry, and has no cap, sender or the like, but seems to me the be a fantastic example with no dents or scratches that I could find.

I bought it to replace my own tank which was dented following an accident but never got around to fitting it, so it's as I bought it a couple of years ago.

Grab yourself a bargain: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151073118120?s...1555.l2649

Edit: I've just realised that there's a for sale forum here too, so I've put it there now. Apologies if I've offended anyone by putting it here.... it is a Fazer Thou part though, so hopefully I can be forgiven!

A Few Days In Wales, Camping
Posted by: nick crisp - 02-07-13, 09:29 PM - Forum: Events, Meets, Ride outs etc - Replies (42)

Thinking about doing this within the next week or two as weather forecasts are looking up. Anyone else up for it? Noggy, Bri H, wanna reschedule your trip? I was thinking of a couple of nights at Llandovery to start, to allow time to explore Brecons, then maybe move north to Devils Bridge site as previously discussed by you guys. (West End Café at Llandovery is biker friendly, hosts Sunday meet - or used to, anyway - campsite is virtually opposite). And I want to ride Nantgwynant, Llanberis Pass etc again! Have also stayed at huge campsite at Beddgelert before, might be worth a look again. Want to do it on the cheap, no fancy restaurants, just takeaways etc.
