Been trying to find an old post about a good tool for riveting a new cam chain -never needed one in the past I've been fortunate enough to have the guides on the 'outside' of bikes not slap down the middle! Anyway I've now given up with the search so what does everyone recommend?

Hey guys looking for some experience, I'm looking at getting some rental bars to fit my FZ1 and want to know what I need to change: ie brake lines or any cables, just want them a bit higher and further back toward me,
So what needs changing?

On cars.
My mate uses engine flushing oil at every oil change on his Beemer 330.
My boy has a Fiat Punto and I had to top ip his oil snd noticed a lot of Black goo in the filler cap and on components inside, I'm not sure if it was the rocker assembly or a plate just inside but I could scrape a thick tarry mess of it. Now I'm thinking of flushing it a few times but I heard that diesel did the same job. I thought a few flushes with diesel yhen use a flushing oil.
Anyone know if this is a good or a bad thing to do?

I'm experiencing a weird glitch with my Fazer. If I ride it half a mile to the fuel station (or similar), leave it a few minutes, when I come back to it, the bike refuses to start in neutral - the engine turns over, but doesn't fire. When I kick it into first, however, it often starts straight away. Why!? Any ideas?

Hi All,
Need some help, I have an unusual vibration / rubbing sensation coming through my left foot peg which started last week.
On sat I cleaned and checked my chain and all seams ok ie no broken or bent teeth on front or rear sprocket and no play in the front sprocket / bearing, I check the chain for the amount of stretch and noticed that I have about 140 / 145mm of stretch between 10 links (this was measured according to the Haynes manual which states about 150mm max.) I also have done approx. 24000 on this chain so I know that It will need changing very soon.
Just got back from a round trip on the motorway from Birmingham to Luton, when I got the bike in the garage I checked the back wheel and found no play in the wheel bearing and that nothing was catching when I spun the wheel, but I did notice a small squeak at a certain point which I think came from around the front sprocket area.
could this be the chain making the noise as it is almost worn out or the drive shaft bearing?
If it is the bearing what should I check for?
Cheers all
Stu
