I want to set up a home CCTV with the equipment located in my garage with at least 4 cameras along the rear, side and front of my property.
Can anyone recommend what I need or where to go to get some good advice?

The last two times I have started the bike from cold it's taken many attempts to catch. (I don't use choke)
I'm not sure if this is a problem or not yet and will see how the next few go. bike has a new battery with loads of umph so not that.
What would you set about checking?
Its not ivanised (that I know of).
When it does fire its very lumpy until I can gradually increase revs. When its warm it runs fine so I don't think its a carb balance problem. It also starts straight away when warm.
This isn't a major issue yet but looking for suggestions to investigate.
I realise all stock fazers can be a little tricky to start but the last couple have seemed worse.

Heavy clutch action on Gen 1 Fazer 1000

Just recently I have noticed the clutch lever on my Fazer has been harder to use. The clutch also starts dragging in stop start traffic. I took the old cable off and all was fine, cable was well greased and moving freely . Refitted it and made adjustments but its not really any better. Its looking like i will have to replace the clutch plates and springs soon. So the question is, what plates and springs to go for. Have any of you got any good recommendations?
Cheers Shaun.

FZ1 (2009) rear suspension linkage bearings

I've got quite a bit of movement in the rear linkages (ie about 6mm when lifting the rear wheel...only done 17,00 miles - must be the poor roads and pavements....okay I should have stripped and greased them on a bit more often).
Marc at Marksman (v helpful and supplied the bearings for the rear wheel £44 v £120 from Yam) has been able to identify the bearings in the Al linkage/dog arm but has anyone any idea what the other ones are:
The needle bearing under the swing arm
The bearing in the lower end of the shock (rose joint?)
Also any tips on how to remove the one under the SA? Looks like the shock top bolt is a 'mare to remove.....
Many thx
Tues24 Sept - think all sorted, local Yam dealer is supplying bits that I can't measure until it's all apart. Think fitting the bearing under the swing arm will need to be put in the freezer before v careful pressing in. Not sure about the shock bearing - the micro fiche shows just a sleeve...
Good news is that the Yam dealer thought at worse the current movement would get an advisory, so should be ok even just doing the linkages.

ive got maxxis supermax on my bike front and back and the rear has squared off till there is no rubber left. theve only covered around 3500 miles. i cant really aford to get a new tyre every 3500 miles so whats a good tire that will last longer that isnt ridicilously priced? i mainly use the bike for commuting and the odd trip on the motorway.

Hiya. I'm after a link to a web site where you can view pictures of components in order of assembly? I've seen some on here but i can't find them and i'm fed up checking all of the stuff Google throws up.
I know i'm being lazy but it takes ages on my phone and my P.C is down.
In anticipation, Mickey

Hesitation, surging and crap mpg.

Hi all, my hesitation problem has got significantly worse recently. MPG has dropped (140 miles put me between E and 1/4), it still hesitates badly when opening it up and it's also started running really rough on constant throttle. For example, get up to 5-6k in a lower gear (it's still there in high gears, just less noticeable) and you can feel it surging like it's running ok for a second, then missing, then ok etc. After my 50 mile run home downpipes 1 + 2 were 220C and 3 + 4 were 170 so something definitely isn't right there. It's also spitting a lot of black shite out of the exhaust which is presumably my hard earned, half burnt petrol :'(
It's over-due a service so I want to get oil + filter, air filter, plugs changed this weekend - I changed them ages ago when it was hesitating, but not this bad and none of them had any effect - but what else can I check? Carbs have been balanced recently and were as close as we could get them and it's had new plug caps a week ago. I also trimmed the leads recently, couple of months back.
I would like to get a known-good set of carbs on it as I have a gut feeling that they're the problem but a) don't know much about them and b) use the bike every day so can't really afford it to be off road for any amount of time (unless I can borrow the blackbird again, maybe this is a good excuse )
So, anyone got any idea of things I can try? Hopefully this won't turn into another Red98-style epic....

Bike hesitates, what's broken?
