Hi all , checking and cleaning the bike today and noticed no3 downpipe on start up takes a lot longer to warm up than the others . Ive checked leads and spark and replaced plugs as a precaution . Still seems the same , has anyone come across this before ? Bike starts on the button and seems to run ok , if slightly down on power. :eek

I posted this on the 600 forum but curious to see if any one here might thrown some light on it. I have not come accross the problem on the 1000
Any suspension technical Gurus out there who can answer this as it seems to defy the laws of physics
I have spent many years setting up supension for friends to suit the Irish roads "Gixers, R1s, S1000RRs, Fazers and recently an RSV" (even the mighty S1000rr on standard suspension setting can be embarassed by a 600 fazer on Irish twisties), but one thing with the 600 fazer, my own included which baffles me is this. :eek
The right fork leg presurises over a period of time to such an extent it effects the static sag. I have not noticed it on the other bikes I have set up. When you open the fork cap air gushes out. All the seals were fine with no leaks. I first noticed it when I could not set the static sag on my own a good many years ago and noticed it on 2 other Fazers since including the 400 recently (I had installed the preload adjusters on the 400 when I fitted Progressive springs). Here is the strange thing, after my altercation with a bus a few years back I "missaligned" :lol one of the forks legs and replaced both the legs and seals and now it does not happen.
My question is how in the hell is the air getting in? :wall
I asked the lads in Hagon when I first noticed it and they were also mystified.
Maybe it is the reason for the question on the post about the "right fork leg seal"

I read on afew forums the rs fork leg is prone to popping the seal and leaking onto the caliper or disc. Why is the rs more prone? Mine is leaking and I have spare forks being rebuilt to fit. But why is the rs problemmatic?

Just been reading the article (page 42) in Nov issue RIDE.
All about does filling with 97RON super unleaded make a big difference to fuel consumption.
If anyone has read the article how does the Fazer stand up, do you get the 15% gain like the RC8R.
Or no improvement.
I am not sure what the difference is going to be as the Fazer has carbs and not fuel injection.
They ran three tank fulls of super unleaded before measuring the fuel economy.
I wonder were the FZS600 would fit on the RIDE fuel economy challenge, because I am getting about 53mpg, or 250 miles out of 21litre tank my Fazer is a Foxeye with the larger tank.
