Evening fellow riders.
I have a Fazer with shit headlights... To pt it simply.. they are the worst headlights i have ever seen on a bike. I have changed the low beam from a 55w to 100w and the other from 60/55W to 100/90w and a 125 still has better lights at night. The earths apprear to be solid and soundly ground.
Are these headlights as piss poor as this or is there a remedy for this.

:b You're so rude?
No I'm on about the screw that holds the rear master cylinder on? The cross head is knackered and because it's all a bit flexible i can't put any pressure on it. Anyone got any good ideas? Or should i just cut the Master cylinder off and cable tie it back on?
Things I've learnt today: When changing your brake hoses make sure you can undo everything before taking things off. I've a lovely new Stainless Goodridge hose and I can't change the fluid.

I am planning to paint the rocker cover during the winter months , which will involve removing the radiator and the AIS .
It would seem a good idea to replace the AIS with the Ivan's AIS removal kit , which appears to be a cheap mod and Pats motorcycle page has a step by step guide .
But the instructions do warn that removing the AIS can cause the bike to fail the emissions part of the MOT , has anybody experienced this .
Thanks in advance for any advice .

Hi there all. I've only just found my way back here, looking for the club, finding that the old website is no longer used. I still have my series 1 Fazer 1999, all painted up & chromed. Just wheels to do when I get new tyres.
I am now back in the UK, almost finished my house resto & thinking more about biking again. Just got my MOT & of course, the issues of poor headlamp arose. The MOT tester suggested HID. There are numerous from which to choose on the net. Please advise which as I'd like to get an installation ready for the shorter days.

Hi - looking at changing my end can to something that has a 'better' noise. I currently have the standard can on and just want 1 with a bit more presence I dont want a full blown race can as I ride 86 miles a day on roads and motorway (with ear plugs mind) but just want a nice sounding can ..... I have stainless downpipes already so does any one have any suggestions ??? :rolleyes

| Speeding through villages/towns |

Forgive my ignorance.
What is the general rule of thumb for traveling through small towns/villages? I know in most places the post speed limit is 30mph but it seems to me most people travel at 40mph instead. I've had plenty of cagers riding my bumper or back tyre when I was traveling the speed limit in town.
Is there a gentleman's agreement I don't know about or are these people traveling too fast?
I find it amazing even in the countryside how many different towns and villages pop up here and there.
Thanks
Clayton
