  600 Engine
Posted by: Jacko - 10-10-13, 10:59 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

Is anyone interested in a 600 engine from a '98 / '99 with approx 25K miles on it.

It is not complete but needs camshaft holder bolts and the cams refitting.

I used it as a replacement while my engine got sorted. I stole the camshaft holder bolts
for mine.
Up to this point it ran lovely.
It's a bit cosmetically challenged and I'll try to get some pics up later.

I have had it taking up space for a few years now and thought it must be worth £50 to someone.

Request for help from the southern lager top brigade
Posted by: heath - 10-10-13, 08:24 AM - Forum: General - No Replies

Just wondered if any of you southern guys would like to help the Royal British legion riders branch and the Poppy Appeal out with this event.

Here's the latest intel' for Friday the 25th of October at Guildford Cathederal, Stag Hill, Guildford, Surrey GU2 7UP ‎:

Peter Wakeham, Surrey CFR and the RBLR Surrey rep' are pleased to announce that The Royal British Legion, for the first time ever have arranged to have a projected Poppy light display on the west tower of the Guildford Cathedral on the 25/26th Oct and 10/11th Nov. The 'switch on' will be at 1830hrs.
The Poppy light display, on the Cathedral is going to be publicised nationally, members of the public are invited to witness this spectacle. We, The Royal British Legion Rider's presence is formative for this once only event. We'll RV off location then ride up to the Cathederal's main entrance, form up in good order, face the public and display a 10 second massed 'rev of respect'. We'll be accompanied by The Royal British Legion Brolly Ladies.
Our Bikes will rev' in synchronisation, the 180 security lights will be doused and the multi-million candle power, Zenon, 30 metre high, Poppy illumination will be switched on.
A Sky news helicopter and ground based Meridian TV crew will be filming this simple but unique show of respect.
Families are most welcome and refreshments are available after in the Cathedral Café.
If you can't make this event please invite atleast 2 other Motorcyclists to attend in your place, non-RBLR individuals and owners clubs etc are more than welcome.
RV, location Surrey Sports Park, University of Surrey, Richard Meyjes Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 7AD from 1730hrs. No move until 1820hrs to FUP @ 1828hrs. Dispersal from 1930hrs at will.

SpeedoDRD, R&G aero crash bungs, clutch cable and jacket for sale
Posted by: philz - 09-10-13, 03:28 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (8)

Just sold my 2005 FZ6 so I've got a set of brand new (fitted for a few weeks) R&G aero crash bungs for sale, a SpeedoDRD and a new genuine Yamaha clutch cable which I never got round to fitting.

The SpeedoDRD cost me £50 plus £20 for customs and VAT so I'm looking for £45 plus postage (£5) . It's literally just a few weeks old. Why wait a month for it to ship from America like I did then get hit by taxes and import duty when you can buy mine and have it the next day?
The R&G aero crash bungs cost me £73 a few weeks ago, looking for £45 plus postage (£5?) They come in the original package with the stickers and all that stuff.
Genuine Yamaha clutch cable which I never got round to fitting - £10 plus £2 postage

I'm sure that you know what they look like but if you want some pics just let me know and I'll get the camera out.

Also got a winter jacket for sale, might be useful now that the weather is getting colder

Weise winter jacket for sale. Size is XL and I'd say it would fit a 40-44" chest. Comes with padded thermal liner and shoulder and elbow protection.
No rips or tears or anything like that.

£35 + postage which I reckon would be about £5-6 or you're welcome to collect from Bristol
