Front faring nose gold/yello - Miranda - 09-10-13

Hi does anyone know where I can get a front end nose faring gold/yellow for my fazer just dropped it on car and cracked it on left hand side  :rolleyes  Thanks Miranda

Re: Front faring nose gold/yello - Lazarus - 09-10-13

where are you from Miranda. If the damage can be fixed you can have someone weld it up.

Mine was fixed earlier this year and looks good as (once I get the decals sorted)

you can get kits to do it yourself> Never used myself tho

Agree on the fix it option if you can

But occasionally you will see Fazers going up for breaking which might be an option (plus a respray) or you have ebay - most require spraying as well and aren't cheap - usually around £150~

Do a free UK breaker search online, there's bound to be something about.

I plastic weld and respray and I have repaired fairings on the shelf that are ready for paint. Mark @ Motorcycle Republic 07887 854614

The Wurth fairing repair kit uses staples for reinforcement but as a long term plastic welder I know that the wire staples will not hold long term and the repair will split in the future, As for a Soldering iron, Seriously? for one they don't get hot enough for an affective repair which will leave the crack still there in the surface of the plastic. I have had to fix fairings where people have used a soldering iron, staples, and even parts of a coat hanger to fix it.

If your gonna get the job done, do it properly and with the right tools and materials

Don't do it, as stated its a botch and wont hold. and then when you get a prop job done the person doing it will have to cut out your botch and start again making the repair much more expensive
