Was looking to replace my front brake lines. Whats the difference in the 2 or 3 line standard or race. Is there any benefit fitting one or the other

I went to the local stealers with the Mrs to get sizes for New helmets as she as dropped a lot of weight off and came across the new alpinestars drystar Andes jacket in fluorescent colours fitted nicely but here's my dilema I also like the rst paragon 3 there's only a tenner between them so anyone got one of them to give me a honest review?

  Chain snap :(
Posted by: davidkent - 18-11-13, 06:23 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (54)

Hi all.
Some advice really...

I've had my chain snap last weekend.
I've sulked all week and decided that given its winter, there's no urgency, so as you'd imagine, I've ordered a new sprocket cover already.

My main concern in honesty is that where the clutch rod snapped, its left some inside - This doesn't look all that bad and will probably come out... BUT...

The hole has gone oblong..
Everything else looks relatively in order, except for the chain guard which is basically gone.

I've read online vaguely about bushing this or something similar, but couldn't find all that much info.

I'm assuming this is bad news?
Its a 2003 FZS600

Cheers

  Exhaust upgrade
Posted by: HarryHornby - 18-11-13, 04:15 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (2)

Just wondering, what's a good replacement exhaust for the FZS600.  Something that sounds better than the stock one (not hard, I know) but that will pass an MOT with no worries.
Or, what's a good exhaust that I can easily make pass an MOT without having to remove it and change it for the stock one or bribe the garrage!
Also, I'm no great mechanic, so it would need to be an easy, like for like swap.  Smile

  Front brakelight switch knackered
Posted by: Grahamm - 18-11-13, 12:47 PM - Forum: FZ6 / FZ6 Fazer - Replies (4)

Whilst checking the bike on Saturday before going for a ride I discovered that the switch on the front brake lever which triggers the brake light appears to be on the way out, sometimes it wouldn't cause the light to come on, other times it would only work as I released it.

Having looked at the Haynes manual, it seems an easy enough fix to swap it out for a new one, but has anyone else done this and had problems I should know about?
