Hi Red,
Was thinking xt660 wheels( gold) poss early xjr pipes ( megaphones sounds like a plan), shouldn't be too hard to make a good looking café racer, exhausts may be the hardest (costly) part :rolleyes
Have a look for local auto jumbles coming up, I think Kempton park is on in the new year?

I didn't know these events even existed until mentioned earlier!
I am more familiar with losing money on horses worthy of a jumble sale though.  :rolleyes
Kempton's apparently only 17 miles away from me but i'm on call for work that weekend so can't really go, i'll try and catch one another time, maybe in warmer times as well.

I don't think they work as cafe racers they're too big and the ass end comes up too high

thanks for the piccie FUZZY.....iam not the first then  :\ ......was thinking of a single seat and chopping the seat frame down to make it look shorter, looking at the picture,i dont think the tank looks right and would be a pain to swap for another, parhaps i could change the shape with the colour scheme ...

How about restoring it to original spec?
Cafe racers and streetfighters are all very well, but everyone who smashes their bike up a bit does it and ends up with something too personalised (and usually still looks like a bike that has been crashed) and so has little resale value. The FZS600 is an endangered species!

i know what you mean FAZERIDER...its been streetfightered already so iam using that as an excuse.+ the cost of a fairing and headlight is going to be expensive.....biggest pain will be the clocks, they look good when the fairings fitted but without its just not right, their fitted to the crossbar of the renthals at the moment  :eek ....like the idea of separate clocks but think thats going to be a pain, one for the speedo drive and two,for the fault code thingy  :\ .......need more thinking time  Wink
