  Wiring loom
Posted by: His Dudeness - 17-11-13, 01:55 PM - Forum: Fazer 400 and other models - Replies (7)

I bought a wiring loom a few months ago off fleebay advertised as a 400 loom. Only got a chance to look at it today and it looks like it's a 600 loom :rolleyes . It has a two pin connector going to the ignition and the 400 has a four pin. It also has two extra connectors near the cdi connector probably for an alarm which the 400 doesn't have. My question is how hard would it be to modify the fleebay loom to work on the 400?

Samsung Galaxy Mini -Caller Volume Issue
Posted by: Simon.Pieman - 17-11-13, 01:12 PM - Forum: General - Replies (5)

On the off chance someone has/is experiencing the same silly problem with this phone. I can't hear callers when they ring my phone, after having a Google I see that I'm not the only one. I've tried the most promising solution which is using a service code to access settings but the audio setting is tagged 'Audio Blocked'. Definately a firmware problem -and I'm all up to date on those. Anyone?

  Battery/electrics
Posted by: goffboy - 17-11-13, 12:35 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (8)

Mornin foccers,

Recently the Fazer (03, 600) seems to have developed electrical gremlins. Initally it seemed like the battery was knackered, so I changed it for new one. All was fine for a while but problem is back and seems to be getting worse.

The main issue is that the bike won't start if it has been left for more than a few hours. Instrument panel comes on as does fuel pump. But when I press the starter nothing, so I end up bumping the thing. Have checked all the fuses and they're fine. Put an ammeter across Negative battery connection yesterday and the amps seem fairly stable.

Was out for a blast this am and now the lights, front & rear, have stopped working. Indicators are still ok. Getting really frustrated. Sad

I don't use the bike everyday so wonder if underuse is part of the problem!

Any help would be appreciated.

E

A mate has just purchased a printer that can just about turn out any sticker you can think off. These were £6 a pair and I think there the dogs! All in vinyl any colour and a simple to fix. If interested just reply and I'll get him to sort out.

  mt 09
Posted by: nickodemon - 17-11-13, 01:13 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (22)

Was at local yamaha dealers and saw the new mt 09. Better looking bike in the flesh than on print. All manufacturers are going down the route of the street triple in appearance.  Aprilia , ktm and now Yamaha are building bikes that are uber fun while making them look funky. Aprilia tuono v4r, mt 09, ktm 1290  etc... I think there is a change in the outlook for an outright fun bike. I think the days of superbikes is going in the UK. The other trend is big trailees getting big sales on our market.
