  Wifey's christmas present?
Posted by: locksmith - 13-12-13, 10:39 AM - Forum: General - Replies (25)

Been told we are buying something for each other "just to open" !!

Doesn't need to be expensive and at the same time doesn't need to be cheap.

She was getting a slow cooker but we bought one last night unfortunately, mind you she wasn't too chuffed when I laughed out loud in Argos and told her my intentions  :eek

Still plan B is the coffee maker I've mentioned in another thread but I still need something a bit more suitable for the old girl, but what?

Am thinking of going for a nespresso machine, namely the U milk one as it does good looking latte's with real milk which is the only coffee the wife drinks. Me, I drink any coffee - yum-yum

Any thoughts?

Bought this ofn flebay for £2400, to clean up and sell on in the spring.. Trouble if I've had more. Fun with its 60 bhp on cold slippery roads than I ever could with me other bikes so it's going nowhere Smile
Norman Hyde 900cc big bore, rear sets, open pipes, modded carbs and airbox and wider bars...you just cannot help but enjoy yourself onnit no matter what the weather..you can even lightly trail it as long as you avoid mud. I stay out til me face is frozen, home for a cuppa and defrost then a lame excuse to the missus to get it out again and freeze me tits of all over again..Christ it's fun Smile

Old school muscle and cheap insurance
Posted by: ogri48 - 13-12-13, 12:44 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (16)

Zx10b. 25 years old, 24000 miles, five owners and excellent condition. One owner kept it inside for the twenty years he owned it. 170 mph but classic insurance. Flew through mot today, and rides perfect. Has motad neta stainless exhaust and braided hoses. Right hand fairing panel cracked as photo. Too good for a winter hack, you could tour Europe onnit.  £1150 here and on the busa forum for a couple weeks then flea bay
Please excuse the hideous after market screen, I'm cutting that bugger down or getting a stock one if I can find it. Aside from that it's a looker in that condition and colour

£30 + postage please!  Smile

NB: Will go on Ebay in the next few days too.

  Clutch replacement question
Posted by: spencer_foxwell - 12-12-13, 08:27 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

Evening all, I'm going to be replacing the clutch on my 400 using this kit

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-FZ-400-...23163d27d4

It doesn't have any steel plates inside the box, just the friction plates. Is it fine to just reuse the old steel plates and anti judder spring?

Is the gasket reusable? Or do I need to go and get one?

Also any tips for doing this little job? I've seen this video and it seems fairly strait forward...
