Zx10b. 25 years old, 24000 miles, five owners and excellent condition. One owner kept it inside for the twenty years he owned it. 170 mph but classic insurance. Flew through mot today, and rides perfect. Has motad neta stainless exhaust and braided hoses. Right hand fairing panel cracked as photo. Too good for a winter hack, you could tour Europe onnit. £1150 here and on the busa forum for a couple weeks then flea bay
Please excuse the hideous after market screen, I'm cutting that bugger down or getting a stock one if I can find it. Aside from that it's a looker in that condition and colour

It's alotta bike for the money. Riding it is a big buzz for me as I owned a black and silver '88 zx10 back in 1990 until 1994, put 47000 miles onnit, it was my first superbike and at 165+mph much faster than anything I had owned before. When the zzr 1100 came out it aced it, but the zx10 was far better for touring, with a more comfortable position and bigger more protective fairing. I crossed France in mine on one trip hardly dropping from 140 mph from one petrol station to the other. Them were the days....

My ZX-4 is a hoot to ride, so I can only imagine how that rides! I think someone is getting a bloody lovely bike, sell it to someone who'll take care of it.
I loved my old one back in the early nineties. Cut the screen down tonight, looks loads better. Thank Gawd for fein vibrating cutters any wet and dry...
That red glow is a garden heater( essentially a really big halogen light that gives off loads a heat without being too bright) my missus got me for working in the garage. Don't half make a difference being toasty when your spannering

Found the only scrapbook photo of my old zx10 taken back in 1990..also the gpz1000rx I had before it. That little girl( my daughter Emily) is 26 now...
I notice the Hyundi Pony pick up I used to have one of those it was Brilliant. Though my head touched the head lining when I got in it till I had fully settled into the seat then is was fine.
Bringing it back to biking, one of the things I used it for on a couple of ocasions was taking the 600cc single I raced, to the circuit.
Yeah that pony was a good little truck! Though when the cluch went in mine me and my dad hadta cut a small hole in the flatbed to access one of the bolts on the bell housing lol. Every year I thought it would fail the mot and I'd scrap it but it went on forever just getting rustier and rustier
I had one of those brand new back in 88 mine was red and white, one of the best bikes I've owned Somewhat down on power and up on weight compared to the latest 1000's my current ZX10R is about 50hp more and 45kg less. That said in the real world the older ZX10 is blistering fast an ace long distance bike with a really good riding position and firing, it's not a scratcher but so what I'd have another any day.
A GPZ1000RX was the first big bike I was ever on the back of. I was 16 at the time and had a Honda MTX50 - I'll never forget the feeling of warp speed on the 1000RX! The ride back home on the MTX just wasn't the same :o
The bloke that owned it sold it to get something less mad - he ended up with a z750 Turbo!!

I put eighty miles on it today ( once I'd realised it was handling shite because the rear tyre was low so banged it up to 42 psi, front was down to 20 so upped that to 36) to Watton and back to look at some nice triumphs in lings. It's on it's second tank of super unleaded now after so many years of not being used and as I got to Watton, the tickover had gone up to 2000, a good sign that the pilot jets are clearing. Thumbed it back down with the handy Idle adjust by my left knee, another twenty miles it had crept up again so adjusted again when I stopped for a cuppa. Back on the bike heading home carburettor is spot on now, and pulls from 1500 in top on greasy cold roads nice and strong. As you say mate, a really comfy riding position and very protective fairing made for a cracking ride home, I'm honestly tempted to keep it if the bloke changes his mind. That lump that seemed so wild back when I had mine in 1990 is still a good un, and winding along it took me right back to riding my old one all them years ago. Nostalgia is a very strong drug, but unlike a lot of other "classics" this one still is all the bike I'd need should I have to flog me others. Saying that, it used to piss me off having a 18" back wheel back then, it still would now I guess..
