Mivv Gp / Mivv storm Gp
Posted by: nickodemon - 19-04-14, 07:42 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (8)

Does anyone know the difference between the mivv gp can (300mm) and the mivv gp storm (300mm) The price of the storm is considerably less, but i can't see the reason it's cheaper. The links show the storm as plain stainless and the gp can as black, but you can get the storm in black at same price as stainless (Couldn't find one on ebay!)

  High End missing

Afternoon all! I Finally got the fazer back from the garage today after quite a bit of work. All ses to be running well after an 80 mile ride around Brecon, but I did notice a bit of hesitance at the top end when overtaking a car on the motorway. I took it up to around 9.5k rpm and it was pulling like a train, then suddenly it felt like it hit a brick wall and it started missing, opened the throttle a bit more and a suddern surge of power! It's very strange, was wondering if the HT leads or rectifiers could be breaking down under heavy load??

Fazer FSZ400 bits wanted... Can and under tray etc
Posted by: davidkent - 19-04-14, 05:26 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

As above.

Looking for a decent end can with link pipe preferred.
Something to make it sound a little less wimpy but not stupidly loud please.

Also a standard under tray as mine has a hole in it.

I'd also like some ideas for indicators, something a little less sticky outy than standard but still nice and bright.

All to fit a 2003 fox eye.

Based in Wiltshire, willing to travel or pay postage also.

Thanks Smile

HELP NEEDED: Possible sticky fuel gauge ?
Posted by: Super_Monkey - 19-04-14, 04:39 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (1)

Hi all, bought a Fazer the other night, and the fuel light was stuck on and the needle registered near empty, I filled the tank and the light stayed on and the needle didn't budge.  Yesterday when I started the bike up the light did go out but the needle wouldn't move (again) and then the light started to be intermittent.  I spoke to the seller and he said that it was fine before he parked the bike up, but it hasn't been used since September as he had another bike.

Any ideas or suggestions that could be of help are greatly appreciated.

I'm a fairly tall rider 6ft 3. My screen seems to direct the airflow right to the center of my helmet. Will a double bubble screen improve this for me? Or any other suggestions?

  Got Ivanised today!!
Posted by: chrisd - 19-04-14, 04:32 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (14)

Hi Folks,

Went up to see Mike Greatorex in Liskeard, Cornwall this morning to have my 2002 Fazer ivanised (Full Monty), I'm sure a lot of you know of Mike as he does numerous trips over from Spain to work on Fazers. I've been toying with the idea of getting it done for quite a while now & used this forum as a resource for research, opinions etc & as regulars on this forum will know I don't post anything on here but I would just like to say a HUGE THANKS too Mike, he really is a fantastic fella & he's done a cracking job on my bike, to say I'm pleased with the results is a massive understatement!
The difference it has made is incredible!!
So for anybody out there considering getting Mike to Ivanise your Fazer, Do It! I can't recommend Mike highly enough, a real genuine, helpful, nice guy. It'll be without doubt, the best £295 you ever spend on the bike!!
So Thanks again Mike, your a Star!

One very Happy Christina, with a very big Cheesy grin! Big Grin

  New brake lines
Posted by: howardmoon - 19-04-14, 10:15 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (4)

Hi Foccers,

as my Gen1 is approaching middle age with nearly 50k on the clock I thought it is time to replace the old brake lines with som nice new braided ones. Just wondering if there is any one make to go for (or avoid) and if anybody has the lengths to hand from when they did theirs?

Cheers, paul
