| Rear Brake Adjustment |

I've just replaced all the seals on my rear brake caliper, including the tiny joint seal. Fitted braided lines and bled through, however, the braking is now very sensitive, not even remotely progressive, tapping the rear brake pedal almost locks up the tyre. Would appreciate any advice on how to adjust this?

Just wondered if anyone on here had or is using the 21/5W LED tail light bulbs and what the general thought on them was as there is lots of different versions now ranging from 9 LED's up to about 60 and all ultra bright.
When they first came out many years ago I had one, still got it actually but had 7 standard LED's and wasn't over bright although reaction time for them to come on was quicker but things have moved on a lot since then. Friend of mine did have some and said they were rubbish but did point out he had purchased red LED's and should have got the white ones for a red lens :lol

| Clutchless gearchange ok? |

I'm in the habit of clutchless gearchanges (in both directions)
However, I don't know if this is ok or not, or if it's particularly bad for a FZS600 (May 2003 model)
Could you give your opinion? Especially those who know the anatomy of the FZS600's drive train.

Thinking along the lines of what I've been asked:
"Do bikes have special tyres or are they just car tyres?"
and
"I bet you get wet on that thing when it rains"
or
"Is it cold on a bike during winter?"
whats had you :rollin then?

Okay I am sure this has been done to death. I am about to take delivery of my new to me FZ1. I will be picking her up from Neil on Wednesday from Bonniebridge Scotland.
My plan for the next week or so is head south for the SX forum meet rideout around the West Yorkshire Dales/ Pendle areas, weekend of the 25/27th April. Any local forccers in that area look out for 20 odd Z1000SX's and say hello to the fat guy on the FZ.(will post route). Then head down to Wirral on the Sunday morning. Get the Bike an MOTon Monday, fit a Scott Oiler and crash bobbins. Then the real journey begins from Wirral down to Dover. Overnight Dover then ferry to Calais. Calais to Bordeaux, stop with my son and get my back and butt in a hot bath to sort the aches an pains, see my grandaughter. Head off back down home to Moraira Costa Blanca. So likely as not I am looking at 2000 odd miles from picking the bike up to arriving home in Spain.
So after all that crap I will get to the point of my post. At national speed limits lol!!! what am I looking at on a full tank. is 130 miles 135 miles or better acheivable?
Wish me luck
Lew

Any forccers out and about next weekend the above is the planned route for the SX forum meet if you fancy saying hello. I am sure there would be no problems if folk wanted to tag along.

Good evening Foccers!
Ive been talking to Mike (Falcon269) about the possibility of him coming over to Scotland to Ivanise some of our bikes. For anyone who doesnt know, Mike has fitted literally hundreds of these kits, so your bike is in very safe hands.
There are no dates or location fixed at present (UPDATE 27/04/2014 preferred dates for Mike would be Friday 26 Sep to Sunday 28 Sep inclusive), this is simply a thread to gauge how many, if any foccers would be up for getting it done (or making the trip to Glasgow/Edinburgh to have it done). Mike really needs a minimum of 6 people before the trip becomes worthwhile to him, more if possible.
There are two types of Ivans kit available. a "slip-on" kit, which is £195 supplied and fitted;
And a "full monty" kit, which is £295 supplied and fitted (you MUST HAVE a free flowing aftermarket can for this option!).
You can find some more info here: http://www.ivansperformanceproducts.com/fz1.htm
Mike is now back from holiday, so he will be able to answer any questions... In the meantime, if getting your bike Ivanised later in the year is something you want to have done - add your name to a list below.
1) mickvp - full monty
2) stu1318 - full monty
3) bigbluebear - full monty
4) Davieg47 - full monty

I had previously posted about a misfire under hard acceleration on my gen1. I did all the suggestions offered to cure it such as draining float bowls, cutting 1/2" off ht cables and checking air filter was clear. The problem disappeared for a few weeks but now the engine is cutting out under hard acceleration. The engine will restart immediately afterwards on the button and runs perfectly the rest of the time. Anybody have any idea what could be the cause?
