*WANTED* FZS 1000 Gen 1 - CharlieDee - 19-04-14
Well the Beast(FZS600) has gone to its new home... I stupidly bought a VFR800... and it made me realise after 300 miles I am a Yamaha boy through and through..
So I am after the Beast's big sisiter.. if anyone can point me in the right direction for a FZS 1000 Gen 1 in good nick that hasn't been to the moon and back it would be most appreciated!! I have the cash ready and waiting. I keep seeing these ES versions?? any good?

hmmmm. interested to hear what you didnt like about the VFR? it was a bike I looked at before doing exactly what your now doing, and going from the 600, to the 1000.
I believe (I may be wrong), the ES is the same bike, only with a black swingarm/engine?
oh... and forfocssake is selling a nice low mileage gen 1 here (post #10 or eleven or so):

Cheers Mick, The VFR is simply not a FZS... I dont like the riding position.. and it doesn't give the same riding satisfaction.. like I say.. some people are Honda boys.. and some of us are Yamaha boys!!

Rode a couple of viffers in the past and nearly fell asleep:-\
They're a bit erm....... Boring compared to a gen I.
Square revving with not much va-va-voom. And a bit pants on fuel too.
I believe devilsyam is selling his awesome red gen I if you have the wonga.
