Engine cutting out under hard acceleration. - slappy - 20-04-14

I had previously posted about a misfire under hard acceleration on my gen1. I did all the suggestions offered to cure it such as draining float bowls, cutting 1/2" off ht cables and checking air filter was clear. The problem disappeared for a few weeks but now the engine is cutting out under hard acceleration. The engine will restart immediately afterwards on the button and runs perfectly the rest of the time. Anybody have any idea what could be the cause?

Sounds like fuel starvation, check fuel line for kinks.

If fuel system-tank/hoses/breathers/pump/filter/carbs ok check Ht leads/caps

I had exactly the same issue the other month... Turned out to be the Datatool System 3 Alarm!!!  :rolleyes

Check plug cap resistances, had similar on my foxeye 600 but not the whole engine dying, dropped a cylinder under hard acceleration (for a 600 :-) turned out to be a weak spark due to high plug cap resistance, ran ok otherwise.
