| Starting bike - blipping the accelerator to get her going |

When you start your bike from cold the procedure should be choke > ignition in neutral > starts without a hitch > wait to heat up > choke off, simples.
Mine seems to cough but I need to pull the accelerator back a bit to fire it up. Any suggestions to remedy this? It was happening four years previous before its four year storage sleep.

Hi from Cork. After years of litre plus bikes I decided to downsize to something more appropriate to the mainly small roads and my limited budget I bought a 00 fzs600 today . She's a bit tatty but was cheap as chips and a revelation in smiles per mile ! More than happy with performance and handling from a 14 year old bike .
Last 600 I had was a XJ600N company bike when I was despatching in London in the late 90s and I hated that dreary slug of a machine . This is a very different wee beastie ! Only 28k on it and running sweet . Will probably need downpipes soon enough ( surprise surprise) but hopefully that will be all apart from consumables.
First long trip will be home to Kettering in a month or two and looking to playing in Wales on the way!
Ian
