I'm off for an interview (don't want to put the mockers on it by saying which job just yet so please bear with me) that sees me having to sign up as a volunteer. Been told there's one member of the interview panel is BIG on the role of the volunteer as opposed to anything else I can bring to the role,
so.........................has any one got any advice they can give me through experience etc. as to what to say ref volunteers/volunteering?
thanks in advance

May need a set of fork tubes ground down and re plated with built up chrome back to stock size..I'd imagine that's a fairly specialised job, anybody had it successfully done? I'm betting it's not cheap.. :'(

Hi all
Never thought i would be joining a Fazer forum. But i had a bit of bad luck last Sunday and came off my bike.
I had a Honda VFR1200F which i got new in 2012. when buying it, I was going to keep it for good. But on Sunday i was out and i got took out by a crosswind and the bike ended up in a ream totally under water. The insurance have written it off, so i am now just waiting to sort it all out. I never of thought i would be so upset and gutted at the loss of a bike. i did look after this one, it was mint and had never seen rain in the 5000 miles i did on it.
I've had a good talk with the wife and after looking at all the pro's and con's, i would not be getting another vfr12. So we went out and i have replaced it with a Fazer 8 in black. I have now just got to wait for the insurance to sort out so i can put the Fazer on the policy. Wife has a XJ6F in black so she is happy i went with the Fazer 8. On the down side i'm not over the moon at buying another bike because of how i lost my vfr12. But i'm sure i will grow to love it just as much. So i am looking forward to getting to know you all on here. so get ready for lots and lots of question.
Kind Regards
Martin

Paid about £130 last year for insurance. Getting quotes for similar policies this year and they're coming in at ~£260 and above.
Need some recommendations guys, not happy about paying twice of last years premium, when I've had no claims and an extra year to throw in to the no claims pot.

After my front end damage I need a new screen, I liked the look of my old standard one compared to a lot I have seen but am thinking this may be a good opportunity to try something else. Does anyone have any recommendations? The best one I ever saw was one that was a double bubble, but instead of having the huge bubble which I dont like it was standard shaped and had a small bubble just in the centre of the screen near the top. If anyone knows where I can get one of them that would be great thanks.

Need to go to Harley street for a consultation later this month and all the parking has changed since the last time I parked in Westminster.
Can anyone explain how I pay by phone in a bike bay?

I've just fixed a bike and had it M.O.T. and now sold it for someone who still has a couple of months insurance on it. I will tell him to cancel the insurance even though there will be no money to come back. The question is if he didn't cancel it and just lets it run out will he be doing anything wrong in the eyes of the law?
Obviously the new owner is getting insurance himself so he can ride the bike away on Saturday. But it just got me thinking if the present owner didn't cancel the insurance and a new owner didn't get insurance it wouldn't register any problem on the police camera things. Am I missing something or should I stop thinking so much :\ .
