  KZ Seat Help
Posted by: hightower - 19-06-14, 03:12 PM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

Posted in general as not a Fazer, but could use some of your technical expertise.

I've got a KZ440 (G1 I believe). Anyway, the frame is the same shape as this image below.

I'm trying to work out how to design the seat for a brat style bike. I quite like these bikes and seat styles but can't see how I can make it fit with my frame.

I am 6'4 so I don't mind the seat being stepped up a bit (more area to house battery, better riding position for me) but only if it fits with the overall look of the bike.

I'm just after some advice from you guys on what you think, and how I might be able to achieve it.

EDIT: I must add I'm not willing to cut the frame, except to detab it - I don't want to modify the frame for a seat to fit, I want to use the frame as it is now.

Thanks in anticipation.

EDIT 2: This one looks similar to my frame.

There's a t-shirt campaign for the family of the late racer Karl Harris. Funds to help his kids in light of the loss of their father.

Nice design as well.

  Knocking front forks
Posted by: emjaydee - 19-06-14, 01:27 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

Hi,  I recently removed the front forks so I could spray them which turned out really well, very please with them....but after I refitted them, the front end knocks when I go over bumps, large or small.
All the bolt are tight and I've tried altering the adjustment on top of the forks.
Any ideas what it could be?
Many Thanks

fzs 600 spares/repair engine for sale
Posted by: Tregzy - 19-06-14, 09:34 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

£30 + P&p/collection welcome from Cornwall
Just want to get rid of it. Missing carb rubbers , starter motor and starter clutch cover. Timing chain had gone previous to me buying it. When I saw the chain was off I just shelved it so I've no idea how bad the rest is. Assume the worst to be on safe side.
Was removed from a 1999 fzs600.
Can provide pics for those that are interested.

  Track Days- issues and solutions
Posted by: Burgess118 - 18-06-14, 11:53 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (9)

Hi all, just took my Fazer round Snetterton and found it brilliant...

Just one issue which is the footpegs, scraping away when tipped in.

Has anyone else changed bits and bobs for the purposed of track use, i want to keep it road legal and friendly... Though I have a race micron can in it.

To those who worry, the fazers love track!
