  FZS 1000 gen 1 for sale 2004 £2250
Posted by: Mike-FZS - 24-05-22, 12:31 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

Looking to sell my FZS1000 2004 looking for £2250 Ono still needs a clean which I will do shortly but here it is to give you an idea.

It has MOT until September 22nd this year. it’s done 55k miles.

- It’s ivanised (slip on version)
- AIS delete
- Has Leo vince sbk titanium exhaust
- Has a Ignition advancer
- Has mct worked forks and ktech rear spring on the standard shock.
- Oxford headed grips
- Renthal 758 bars
- Hel front braided lines
- Fazer logo black frame plugs
- Smoked indicator lenses
- Titanium disc bolts all around
- Titanium chain adjuster bolts and nuts
- Exup is working bolts have been replaced with stainless
- Does have a f.fabbri screen but this has been modified by someone in the past. Still looks good and works well.
- Chain and sprockets done in January using DID vx3 gold chain, Renthal hard anodised rear sprocket and a JT “silent” front sprocket.
-Datatool s4 red alarm ( that actually works!!)

2 sets of keys and alarm fobs

Oil and filter Changed every 4K using motul and hiflow filter. Last done November and due again in a little over 1000 miles ( may be redone before sale)

Has Bridgestone t32 tyres on it about half worn

Has a hugger but has a chunk missing. Have meant to cut it back to tidy it up but not got around to it (again May
Now get around to it)

Any interested parties are welcome to inspect it and have a chat I’m not hiding anything.

Selling only due to keeping my crashed FZS This is a better bike in a lot of ways but tbh both me and Mrs prefer how the other one feels as it’s softer and tbh has more memories attached to it. Owned it for just under a year.

Previously owner by someone on here most the mods done by them. The suspension seems setup for heavier rider I’m about 11 stone kitted. being honest as only really works how I want when 2up. I’ve not touched it as I don’t know what doing with setup tbh.

Located in Great Yarmouth. Prior to my ownership was a inland based bike so has only had 1 year of harsher air

  Key programming FZ1-S
Posted by: FZDick - 24-05-22, 12:19 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Morning all! Nightshift a tad light so posting this up for help please!
2008 FZ1-s, love it, never fails to induce that Cheshire cat smile!  Big Grin
Only came with 1 red and 1 black key, no probs me thinks, get a spare black one on-line, and use the DIY programming procedure.
Well, procedure works, but will only allow 1 black key, either one, to be recognised, the other will spin it but not fire it up!
Same with either black key.
Popped into local dealer, CMC Cannock, and the service lad said "you still got the missing black key programmed in the ECU, max of 2 keys, that's why a second cant be programmed"!
Logical when you know how!  :\
BUT.....can I find how to delete keys from the ECU? Told me it can be done DIY, didn't say how tho'!  :'(
So, can anyone out there advise how to delete all keys from the ECU so I can start again and have 2 working black one's?
TIA - Dick Snow.

Hi all
I thought I'd post this link to the A2 licence petition to automatically upgrade to A1 after two years just in case anyone hasn't  seen this already elsewhere, got to be worth signing ?

Not that the government ever listens to the public, but it can't hurt to try eh ?

Kia ora Foccers young and auld, I hope you and yours are going foccin’ splendidly in these “interesting” times we all find ourselves in.

Alas it seems that it’s not only Suzuki that are looking to withdraw from the status quo of the motorcycle world this year, we here at Foc-U are contemplating the same.

It’s no secret that Bob and I have been struggling to find the time that our beloved forum needs recently.
I say Bob and I, but in reality it’s Bob that has been running things for at least two years, if not more, as aside from footing the bill for 8 years, I just haven’t been in the personal space to give time to Foc-U at all.
Thankfully Bob has been willing to cover not only the costs for this year, but also the day to day running of the forum, so we ALL need to acknowledge this and owe him thanks ( and a pint or five when you see him next) for doing so.

Around December I posted on the forum that we were looking for admins and was desperately disappointed at the lack of responses from Foccers willing to take on the mantle of Admin/Mods.
I’m unsure if it’s Pandemic, social media or apathy reasons, but I’ve seen more interest in bunking with Heath, Ginge and I at the Spring Meet than I saw in that post.

As much as it pains me to admit, the offers to buy out the Forum from folks looking to cash in on the historical success and member base is starting to make more and more sense to both myself and Bob.

This post is really a last ditch effort to see if any of you magnificent Foccers are willing to take on the challenge of bringing Foc-U into the 2020s with an integrated forum and social media base through time, enthusiasm, expertise and perhaps a little coin, or whether I should face up to the fact that the Halcyon days of the board have long since past and look at getting out whilst the getting is good.

So…

This is the last call for any interested parties to step forward and take on the role of Admins from Bob & I to move Foc-U into the ‘20s before we, reluctantly, look at selling the domain rights and historical archives of posts to the interested commercial parties.

I hope some of you, like me, don’t want to see the auld girl tarted up with adverts and banners and are willing to take us on our journey for the next decade as I (kinda) have since moving from Yuku to this iteration, but if not please don’t complain down the line when you need to log in with your card details handy…

Take care, stay safe and I hope you all keep it shiny side up.
Love ’n hugs,
Aegis
