The Bol should be a bit special this year, celebrating 100 years since the very first. The bikes all loaded and whatever I've forgotten will have to stay forgotten. I'm on the 02:20 Eurotunnel in the morning, so will be leaving home just before midnight. Tomorrows weather is crap all day, when I checked earlier, so the waterproofs will be getting a good work out, although I know they'll be fine.
The trip meters have been reset to zero, as need to keep an eye on progress, as the first 300 miles will be very boring, and more a matter of just burning through two tanks of petrol, and is quite mind numbing. The prize being the road south of Vichy, and on to Le Puy en Velay and my overnight campsite. The weekends weather at the track looks good and hope it stays that way, as the mistrale in 2019 certainly spoilt the weekend.

Rare to find.
NOS Genuine Yamaha Carbon fibre tank pad to fit Gen1 1000.
Dry fitted on my tank, fits very well.
Original sticky pads included, these may not be suitable as this part is NOS.
It's as it come from Yamaha, had this for yrs, never been out the bag until recently, removed to dry fit on my tank, but decided I prefer my Bagster cover instead.
Wind took the bag ffs Grrrrrrr.
Will be well packaged & posted via Royal Mail 2nd class unless you require 1st class signed for at your cost.
Had to cut a ride short this morning. lost the clocks and indicators and when i stopped switched off it wouldn`t start again. fine this morning on cold start, stopped for fuel no problem then about 12 miles into the ride i lost rev counter and speedo but fuel gauge still working. bumped it to get it going but not too happy on tick over. open roads home so kept it in a lower gear with the revs up and got home. had a look and battery reads 12.4 volts. start up with a jump from a spare battery and no increase in volts even holding the revs at 5000 rpm. checked all conections, earth on the started motor was fine but the small white connector on top of the battery wasn`t quite pushed all the way home, bit corroded as well, cleaned up and back together now. checked the white connector under the tank and is good. a nice fit and clean. checked the reg/rec connector which was also clean. then removed the infill fairing on the left and checked the two black connector blocks. one of them is a bit corroded but IMO not enough to cause a problem. Cleaned now and back together, Battery on charge at the moment but i obviously have a problem...Iam thinking the rec/reg is not doing its job...Your thoughts please foccers
Hi, first post after just getting my first Fazer 1000. Got it for a fairly good price but I've now found it has no Exup valve fitted.
I have the cables but no pulley, removed Exup plate from manifold and no valve fitted.
The bike is standard and goes OK but would like to have a working Exup system.
Is it worth trying to source the parts? Will I notice a difference? Do the spares I need come up second hand?
I'm after a few new items of clothing, gloves, waterproof jacket, etc, but am fed up with buying online then having to send stuff straight back due to being ill fitting or the like.
I'm in NW London and used to get everything I ever needed from the J&S Superstore near Watford after spending a couple of hours trying loads of clothing on.
But that's gone now and was wondering if there were any of the larger type superstores about any more these days?
