Gen 1 LED Headlights
#1
I’ve had LED headlights on the bike for about 5 years. They have been great. Unfortunately one of the bulbs have blown in dipped mode. I have tried to find a bulb with similar plugs but have hit a wall. The bulb connects to a black box via a four pin plug. There is a locking strap around the outside of the plug to lock the two parts together. Has anybody seen this type of connection?  They are 4000LM.

Alternatively, had anybody fitted LED lights and were happy with the install and they’ve not had any issues?  I’ll probably end up buying a new pair so any information would be greatly received.

Firstly, I feel ya pain.

I once tried some Led's in a lamp specifically designed for Halogen H4's.
Total waste of money/time & effort.

No way to get a decent beam image that would pass a UK Mot, regardless of what position I tested the Led's in.
I've yet to see any Led unit that'll perform correctly to pass an Mot.

I don’t seem to have had a problem with passing MOT. My tester has even said that the bike will pass with just one low beam light, as long as I have one working. I will keep looking for the kit I have, hopefully it will just be a plug and play.

I got these. Straight swap for the OEM bulbs. No modifications required.
