| Tyre question |

Due to finding a screw in my tyre yesterday i'm gonna be looking for a new rear sooner rather than later, i've plugged it for the time being as it was in the fleshy part of the rubber.
I've decided to give the Michelin Pilot a go this time.
Question is which one, the PR3 or the PR4 ?
Bike's a commuter mainly, so i don't chuck it around so much these days, although i do have my moments, but i do like the tyres to stay planted firmly in the wet, and obviously longevity would be a bonus as well as wearing evenly.
There's not much price difference so i'm not bothered about that.
But has anyone tried both, and maybe preferred one over the other? Any thoughts?

Used to have a gen 1 1000, did the R6 shock mod, had to fix a drill out the poxy EXUP valve, never did get to the bottom of the thing vibrating like a bitch (the reason I sold it) even after balancing the carbs and re-welding the exhaust bracket back up.
I've since had a Speed triple and now I'm currently on an S2 FZ6 which is a nice bike if a little lacking in the power dept, I plan to keep the FS6 as a daily driver but I'd like to get something that I could play on so to speak, been thinking about a FZ1N but what goes wrong with them ? have they still got the EXUP valve and if so is it an issue like the old gen 1 ? and more to the point does it vibrate ?
Thanks guys

| Swingarm dimensions / swaps |

Can anyone kindly confirm the exact width of the Swingarm at the pivot bolt - where it fits into the Frame? Im considering this for a swingarm conversion.
Will then look into the options. Would be easier to space one out than have to "reduce" the width....

Well mines is getting more and more difficult to open every time I use it. Turning the key that last bit to pull back the bolt gets tighter and tighter, it feels as if I'm eventually going to break the key. Lubing helps for a bit but I think it's time to get a new one. Are the after market petrol caps any good? And more to the point are they easy to fit?
