*SOLD* FZS600 Ohlins Linear Fork Springs £60
Posted by: arch33angel - 01-11-17, 12:45 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (10)

Only fitted to my 2002 Foxeye for a few months. Being a lightweight 9.5 stone and doing mainly town riding they were just too stiff so I've went back to stock springs. These are virtually good as new. £60 inc delivery.

Anti fog spray for visors and spectacles
Posted by: Streetbudgie - 30-10-17, 06:08 PM - Forum: General - Replies (24)

Anyone else use Bob Heath spray to stop visor and spectacle fogging?

I had some old cans which have now run out and the new Bob Heath stuff I bought last week is pants, just doesn't work.

Anyone got any alternative products?

Replacing HT Leads and Plug Caps/Boots
Posted by: Arfa - 29-10-17, 05:38 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (16)

Got a bust cap and misfire on cylinder 4. So reckon it's time to replace. Any recommendations, tips, gotchyas with the Fazer? NGK leads/caps the way to go?

Did this job once before on an old ZZR600, with new NGK leads and caps, was pretty straight forward. Is the Fazer similar?

And are these the right caps?

Will the straight one fit (SD05F) or better to get a bent one like original (XD05F)?

  400 new owner
Posted by: SiC00ps - 29-10-17, 01:13 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (1)

Hi guys,
Just picked up a 400 Fazer cheap as chips.
I was sold on the brembo goldline brakes and the full beet racing exhaust Smile
New to the bike but not to bikes and this is my 3rd Yamaha.

I'd be interested in finding out about cross compatibility between the box eye 400 and the 600.
Any advice appreciated.
I'm near Worcester UK.
Thanks!

  Tyre question
Posted by: darrsi - 28-10-17, 06:16 PM - Forum: General - Replies (71)

Due to finding a screw in my tyre yesterday i'm gonna be looking for a new rear sooner rather than later, i've plugged it for the time being as it was in the fleshy part of the rubber.

I've decided to give the Michelin Pilot a go this time.

Question is which one, the PR3 or the PR4 ?

Bike's a commuter mainly, so i don't chuck it around so much these days, although i do have my moments, but i do like the tyres to stay planted firmly in the wet, and obviously longevity would be a bonus as well as wearing evenly.

There's not much price difference so i'm not bothered about that.

But has anyone tried both, and maybe preferred one over the other? Any thoughts?

What goes wrong with the FZ1 ?
Posted by: maxthedoggy - 28-10-17, 04:40 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Used to have a gen 1 1000, did the R6 shock mod, had to fix a drill out the poxy EXUP valve, never did get to the bottom of the thing vibrating like a bitch (the reason I sold it) even after balancing the carbs and re-welding the exhaust bracket back up.

I've since had a Speed triple and now I'm currently on an S2 FZ6 which is a nice bike if a little lacking in the power dept, I plan to keep the FS6 as a daily driver but I'd like to get something that I could play on so to speak, been thinking about a FZ1N but what goes wrong with  them ? have they still got the EXUP valve and if so is it an issue like the old gen 1 ? and more to the point does it vibrate ?

Thanks guys
