| Battery Drain |

So, today, if time permits I intend to try and find the cause of my battery drain. The battery was new last year and seems to hold its charge well when on the bench.
Attached to the bike it drains much quicker. The bike is standard electrically apart from a 12v socket on the fairing infill and a double usb socket on the handlebars. Both those are wired directly to and from the battery.
Just wondering if anyone has found any other causes of battery drain on our fzs1000's?

Since ive had my Fazer (about 3 years now) I have never had a working Exup valve. I have gradually bought all the bits either new or good second hand, all apart from the main plate which holds everything in. CMSNL wanted €138 not including postage, and the wife refused to buy me parts for my bike for Christmas.
Well tonight I had one last trawl through Ebay to see if I could find one before I handed my card details over to CMSNL, and, success!!!
NOS £45 delivered from Northern Ireland. To say i'm chuffed is an understatement. Ive just got to find all the bits I've already bought so I can put it all together.
I hope after I put it all on and set it up, I notice the difference.

ok so i ordered a new seat cover to replace the torn split and goes rock hard when it gets wet (very uncomfortable after a long ride)
pulled all the staples as you would normally do and the bloody foam fell off aswell
question is what glue has anyone used with good results as i have a large selection of glues but i dont want to melt the foam and be royally screwed
ive got a day or two before i refit the cover as the foam is sat by the radiator drying out any advise will be appreciated.

what do you call these things that are fitted to top box's.
I know it sound obvious but cannot find any on ebay using that.
what I'm after is a rear light that has a brake light inc.
I can find one of each but not 2 together.
going touring in may so buying a bigger top box and I want the above fitted inside the red reflector.
probably might be best having separate lights .
what I would like is for them to be inside the red reflector that you got on the topbox.

Had a gen 1 painted up in Kenny Roberts yellow and black up until last Feb. Was nudging 50k, and I'd had it for over three years and fancied a bit of a change.
Swapped it for a Duke 390. If you've never ridden one, give it a go. Absolutely hilarious on the road, and the best town bike ever invented. Pretty too....
...but no good for distance, and a bit lacking in oomph for uphill stretches carrying 17 stone.
So, am back in the Fazer groove. Found an Ivanised but otherwise stock 02 blue FZS1000 with 14k on the clock. Picked her up yesterday from 15 miles away in a sleet storm and near freezing temperatures.
But my god it felt good. Like coming home.
