Hi everyone.

We often go on weekend getaways where we can relax, watch some gay porn, and just enjoy each other's company.

  Odd noise, but nothing found
Posted by: agricola - 12-10-23, 08:19 PM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

Noticed an odd constant noise appearing to come from the front of the bike the other day. Decided to investigate as had a window between the humdrum everyday tasks bestowed upon me in retirement. Off with the brakes/wheel etc, bearings are fine and in good nick, likewise nothing else binding, so decided to clean  and check the bobbins while the wheel was off too. All back together ok, so at this stage I'm putting my money on tyre noise. Curious though, I did note that the noise disappears when ridden over a solid metal grid/drain cover etc

  Warning Police Ahead
Posted by: fazersharp - 09-10-23, 12:47 PM - Forum: General - Replies (8)

I see on a lot of US bike related stuff that they use a signal tapping on the top of their helmet to let other riders know there are police up ahead,  think in some states it might even be against the law.I have never seen it in this country though as there is not a recognised signal apart from maybe flashing of headlights which can mean anything from cows in the road or you have left your filler cap open on your car :lol it is useless to try and flash on a box eye anyway :rollin

Camden: Consultation for Motorcycle Parking charges - please repond and share.
Posted by: b1k3rdude - 06-10-23, 01:15 PM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

The consultation is running until 5th November - click below to find out more and respond! We stopped them before, with your help we can stop them again -

- SaveLondonMC.com/camden

Nearly three years after they were first proposed Camden has just put out a new consultation on motorcycle parking charges.
We know this is disappointing news but remember this is the fourth time Camden have tried to bring in charges, and every time riders have stopped them.
They’ve provided very little information, and what they have provided is not clear - we have asked for urgent clarification and will update you as soon as we have it. What we know so far about the proposals is

Camden Council has just put out a new consultation on motorcycle parking charges -

? parking permits for residents', businesses' and doctors' motorcycles to cost the same price as cars
? solo motorcycle bays charged at £2.60/day (£2 for electric) costing £600/year for a commuter
? riders living in 'car-free developments' face charges up to £950/year - more than any car
? residents permits to nearly double from £75 to £146/year (£139 for electric)
? introducing motorcycle business permits at £419/year and doctors permits at £326

It appears Camden no longer plan to ban commuting with £6/hour and maximum stay limits in solo motorcycle bays, which is a positive sign that they are listening. But the charges are still absolutely outrageous so we need your help to fight the plans! And whats worse, Camden dont seem know ther backside from their elbow when it comes to thier own policy. Visitors on motorcycles are charged more than commuters & residents....

Camden tried to do this in 2020 and riders managed to stop them - we must act together to stop them again - please share this post and spread the word to all bikers.

  New kid on the block
Posted by: acforster22 - 06-10-23, 12:35 PM - Forum: General - Replies (5)

Hey all! Thank you for accepting me admins  Big Grin  I’ve recently acquired a 1999 FRS600 Fazer which has been stripped of its fairings and headlight and looks like a cafe racer now… love the look! I just wanted to ask a few questions, I’m looking at getting some after market levers, some replacement sintered brake pads and some frame sliders because I’m looking to make this a track bike for getting used to dragging a knee hehehe. I’ve looked online and can’t seem to find much after market for any of these apart from a K&N air filter replacement and some rubber trumpets. If anyone can help with links (Aus based for reference but I don’t mind at this point) it would be appreciated!
How do these hold up as track bikes after the years¿ what should I watch out for in terms of maintenance as a track bike, any tips¿ thank you endlessly in advance!

  2002 FZS1000 Ignition switch options?
Posted by: Philk - 05-10-23, 12:28 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (7)

Yesterday my 2002 came the closest yet to stranding me, in 14 years of ownership, when the ignition switch decided to fall apart on top of a cloud covered mountain. A roadside bodge got me home but the switch has had its day, I've certainly lost confidence in trying to fix it given my 9yo is on the back more often than not.

So I look for a spare. P/N is 5LV-82501-00-00 (2 way + 5 way female connectors), and there seems to be nothing out there unless I want to spill 500 notes out of the wallet  :eek Even ebay has nothing second hand.

So in the absence of OEM, has anyone found an alternative or an aftermarket part that fits the yoke correctly and is as near as dam-it, that the wiring can be modified to make it work as intended. I'm handy with electrical work but would like something that is as neat as possible and does not shout "rat bike" when you look at it.
That said..... any options considered.

Coolant pipes where they enter engine.
Posted by: babemagnet - 05-10-23, 10:37 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (12)

On top of the engine where the metal coolant pipes enter, the tubes they go through are always full of water (not coolant). Should there be a drain here somewhere? Every time I wash the bike I find myself stuffing the tubes full of tissue to dry them out. I would hate for one of the pipes to rust through.
