I'm in the market for a new chain, & I'll replace both sprockets as well.....
D.I.D chains seem to be the way to go BUT they do a std & a supadupa version.....the supadupa version is dearer so has anyone got any real world experience of these chains?
Having an Ivanised bike which I do tend to rag a tad I am leaning to the supadupa chain.....
Sprockets - JT are known for being good quality but there is a co. making bushed "silent" sprockets (as per OEM apparently)...again, anyone got any experience of such matters?
Looking at picking up a new front tyre. Wheel is not currently on the Bike.
Anyone recommend removing existing tyre/fitting a new one myself? Is there an easy way to do this?
Or it's too difficult a job without proper tools and taking it to a bike mechanic/garage is preferred?
A consideration, this is a replacement (2nd hand) Wheel that I've picked up, however not used before.
Perhaps it's safer to get a garage to do it so they can check this wheel over, plus ensure its properly balanced.

I love my fzs600 but it's time for something bigger. Are there any viable alternatives to the thou? I hope I don't set off a lynch mob :evil Need Not necessarily be as powerful as the thou but still more powerful than the 600 and with a similar riding position and easy to add luggage to? Am I blind or is there actually nothing?
Any thoughts welcome, D.
Hello there,
I'm after a fzs1000 and would like to find out about the size of the underseat storage. I got an Almax III 1.5m, does anybody know if that fits under the seat of the thou? Also when we go touring I take my other half's Almax IV 2m under my seat to lock up both bikes, any idea about one of those?
Any info much appreciated.
D.
I'm after an FZS1000 (gen I). I've been riding the FZS600 for the past 7 years and I'm ready for an upgrade.
Some thoughts:
- I've been reading through the discussions and seems like Ivanisation is the bees' knees. So if it had been done that would be a big plus.
- mileage reasonable (>50k)
- luggage desirable, although I'd prefer to keep side panniers smaller so I can filter if need be
- colour irrelevant
- location preferably not too far (>100 miles) from West Midlands - taller screen would also be great, and I'd love an aftermarket can too
That's it, can't blame wishful thinking! For now, I'm keeping my eyes peeled.
Well I raced the tarmac tracks last year, one incident, Cadwell, got rammed, 2 broken ribs ECT,, but only missed one race weekend.
Second race meet this year, last week at Cadwell,, practice day went onto grass, dropped it,,screwing fairing and fibreglass, scrutineered for Saturday and Sunday races ok..
Sunday I got two 3rds in my class, well chuffed, got some silverware.Fazer gen 2 went well, can't be many with trophies.
