I'm on the lookout for a set of carbs from a 600 Boxeye, not sure if a set of Foxeye ones will fit but if they do then I'd consider those too.
Idle Air Mixture Screws must move freely and not be seized or snapped, I bought a set recently where it was assured to me they were fine but turned out they were seized and 3 of them had snapped heads.

For sale my Yamaha FZ6 S2 Fazer 600. Excellent condition, must be seen to be appreciated. 58 plate, 8515 genuine miles backed up with old mot certificates.
Service history. Mot till 10.5.2019. But happy to put full 12 months on if you wish. 3 keys including the Red master. Recent Oil and filter, Coolant change, Front and Rear Brake fluid change. Has Braided front and rear brake lines with Stainless steel banjo's and banjo bolts, Stainless Bleed nipples, Stainless Caliper bolts, Stainless Disc bolts, Stainless Exhaust header nuts, Stainless Rear sprocket nuts, Stainless Rear spindle nut, Stainless Screen bolts, Stainless Fairing bolts plus other Stainless bolts dotted around the bike. Very good tyres chain and sprockets. No Damage Dents or Scuffs.
Has fitted Headlamp protectors, Dual headlamp mod (easily removed if you prefer) Daytime led running light, Front fenda extenda, Tank pad, Puig Belly pan, Rare Genuine Yamaha colour coded Rear hugger ( std black hugger included ) Radiator guard. I had a very 'nice' Christmas present by an idiot driver who knocked me off my bike so I ended up in the back of a stationary van. Long story short the bike was written off as category B because of damage on the frame.
I've put way too much work into transforming the bike so I'm not ready to part with it and there are loads of good bits on the bike which I can't legally sell. But I'm wondering if I can get the bike on the road again by swapping out the frame if I find a good one with plates and a logbook.
My biggest concern is, can I use the engine? What's the legal way to do this? Does the frame have to be HPI clear or can it be up to Category C? How complicated is the registration procedure? Would be great to hear from anyone that has gone through a similar ordeal!
I, like others on here it seems, am beginning to find the leg room / angles between hip, ankles and knees a little uncomfortable as I get older. I’m lucky enough to have an MT10 in my garage as well and don’t have any such problems with this. Having measured the peg to seat top on both bikes, I’ve found that the MT (with comfort seat fitted) is some 4cm taller.
I’m therefore considering the purchase of a second hand seat, which I will then send off to be resculpted by a professional, to give me that little more height and leg room.
Anybody here already done this? If so, how do you find it? Got any pictures? Recommendations about who you used / cost?
By the way, I have already used my airhawk for a few rides out. I find that with it inflated sufficiently to make a difference, I don’t like the way that you roll around on it, as the air shifts from one air pocket to another.
If you reduce the amount of air in it to prevent this, then I find that it doesn’t make a significant enough difference.
When I bought it, the bike had a Sargent seat fitted. I found this really uncomfortable on a long trip to Devon and have therefore long since reverted to the standard seat.
I have also, like others, considered foot peg lowers. However, I don’t really want to reduce the ground clearance. Not because I’m any sort of riding god that likes to regularly scrape the pegs I might add. I would just prefer to retain the look of the original pegs.
I’m Thinking Tony Archer or similar for the seat resculpting, unless anyone else has any recommendations in the south east?
