  Fuel pump clicking
Posted by: slurrymonster - 10-10-11, 07:46 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (10)

Hello all,

This is my first post in the new forum, but I used to be on the old one (although not a massive poster!)

Yesterday I synchronised my carbs using a Morgan Carbtune Pro (very nice tool by the way). That involved me taking off the tank, disconnecting the fuel pipe, fuel gauge plug, the rail of things underneath (not actually sure what they are) then doing the synchro job.

When I reassembled the whole lot yesterday the bike started up and ran nicely. However I've just tried to start it up and it is making a familiar sound but in a very unfamiliar way. I usually get a few clicks from under the tank after I turn the key (which I gather are made by the fuel pump - it's not the clicking sound a dying/dead battery/ignition relay makes), however now I'm getting a lot more clicks in much more rapid succession.

Has anyone ever encountered this before? I wonder if I've disturbed the fuel pump in some way while I was moving out the rail of things under the tank?

Please help!

Luke

  Bone Graft
Posted by: Kev8261 - 10-10-11, 02:11 PM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

I know it's a bit of a grim subject for us bikers, but, my nephew recently in his words 'had a mad moment' on his scooter. Sadly he didn't get away with it and hit a car, I think a kind of glancing blow.

Anyway, he's had the leg pinned and had that sort of cage put round it, but now they're talking about doing a bone graft. Sounds pretty serious to me, anyone had any experience with this procedure, I haven't said anything to my sister in law, but I've heard about guys having this done, and it's almost last chance for the leg, is there any truth in that?

http://www.thedrum.co.uk/news/2011/10/09...trictions/

"In explaining the situation in a letter to the Evening Times, published on the campaign page, Chris White claims to have explained, when stopped and questioned, that the only pictures were of his daughter and that he wasn’t willing to delete the pictures, which had already been uploaded to Facebook.

Police were then called, claiming that pictures were not allowed within the centre and that he was breaching privacy. It is also claimed that one of the attending officers claimed that he was able to confiscate the mobile phone and delete the pictures under the Prevention of Terrorism act."

I wonder if we give up our right to Privacy when we enter the Shopping centre and have cameras watching us  :photo  :rolleyes

An Irishman goes for a job on a building site.

The foreman says, "Can you brew tea?"

The Irishman says, "Yes."

"Good. Can you drive a fork lift?"

The Irishman looks at him and says,

"Just how bloody big is the teapot?"
