  Question for IT foccers
Posted by: mickdel - 03-11-11, 04:38 PM - Forum: General - Replies (5)

Is it possible to password protect folders on Windows 7?    My kid regularly scans all my stuff if I leave my account open, and some of it is not really suitable.  Downloads from Streetfighter with naked babes draped over bikes isn't exactly what I want her to see?

Any advice gratefully received.

  Color of Forum

Can I suggest the color of the forum (this greyish hue)  could be replaced to something like green, or the old blue, which I liked?    Is it possible to say change the color once a month?

  Its been a long time....

Well, you cant stay away for ever can you. Its been several years since I was here and had any contact with some of you good people. I'm still riding albeit an R6. The old fazer turned into a garage bound project that I never got round to fixing. There were some cracking times on the old board - I missed out on yuku entirely lol. I 'm pleased to see a lot of the old names still here too.
Looking forward to catching up on the mischief  Smile

  Stupid little foccers
Posted by: Grahamm - 03-11-11, 02:39 AM - Forum: General - Replies (8)

Earlier this evening some scrotes got into the shed at the bottom of my garden via the unlocked (and unlockable) door that leads into the garden.

Fortunately they triggered the alarm on the motorbike making them run off. Unfortunately they panicked and kicked their way out of the back door into the alley way.

Stupid idiots could have just turned the latch on the yale lock!

Now I've got a busted door that I'm going to have to pay to get fixed  :2guns

  Fecking Vista & Permissions
Posted by: richfzs - 02-11-11, 11:49 PM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

So. I bought a NAS drive to (mostly) keep a backup of the lappy. All going great, apart from a few folders won't copy across using SyncToy2.1

Looks like a permissions thing (80070005), and the folders do have read only access on them - thing is, I can't take that read only attribute off! I go through the motions, Vista does the same, but when I look back at the permissions again, the read only attr is till there.

Anybody have any ideas as to how I can make Vista do as its told? I'm logged in as admin, and I've tried running winders explorer as admin as well. makes no difference! Help!
