Smashed mudguard - where to get a new one?
Posted by: Digdug - 15-11-11, 07:50 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (14)

Some ******* has hit my bike while it was parked on the road outside my house (and, naturally, driven off without stopping  >: ). The front mudguard is smashed, there doesn't seem to be any other damage tho I've only been able to look at it in the dark.

Now, I have no idea how much a front mudguard costs or how difficult it'll be to get one for such an old model (gen 1 Fazer 1000, red). I've had a quick look on fleabay but there's none in the right colour, and I haven't even been able to find one by googling. Can anyone suggest where I could get a replacement one from and how much they are, either new or second hand? I've got a £400 excess for accidental damage so no chance of claiming it on insurance, so I need to keep the cost as low as poss.

  New helmet time!
Posted by: ghostbiker - 15-11-11, 06:45 PM - Forum: General - Replies (40)

Well my AVG S4 stealth has finaly started to leak and just getting a bit tatty. had it 4 years now and have got on well with it. been wellfitting and no real issues with it realy.

I also have a spare Caberg flip that i hardly use. its to loud and gets a lot of buffeting for some reason.

I like the idea of Flip's but are they all loud and unaerodymanic?
I also like the idea of Bluetooth built in, but that dose seem to limit the choices on helms.

As im at the NEC on the 27th im gunna take a look around to get an idea on fit and comfort, but what do you guys think about helms? I have a MAX of £250 but would prefer £150
gota look ok and be fairly quiet. blue tooth would be a bonus.

I owned a fazer 1000 a couple of years ago and loved it, and yes I had it Ivans kitted up too by Mike from Spain.

I also own a Harley Iron to calm me down a bit!
