Rear Caliper.
Posted by: Lumpy - 21-11-11, 09:55 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (34)

is there an EASY alternative rear caliper to fit on this bike? As you'll know the standard one needs careful maintenance to stop it sticking, well it does if used all year round anyway. What have people fitted? Ta in advance.

Edit. I notice 2 threads referring to the Fazer thou caliper, do all of them fit as there are 2 different syles, the Front caliper lookalike and a smaller one from a later bike. Ta again

Important for thoose wishing to source own R6 shock
Posted by: devilsyam - 20-11-11, 11:30 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (36)

Admin might be good to sticky

rite i have no issues with people wanting to source there own r6 shock, and indeed i have supplied dogbone and spacers kits to suit
however it is becoming more common (two this week) for you lot to buy the WRONG SHOCK

This is because breakers and ebay sellers will list the shock as fit 2005-2011 or will claim it's from a later bike
true the shocks will fit all r6's but only ONE fits the fazer

THE SHOCK BELOW WILL NOT FIT EVEN WITH A HAMMER

THIS ONE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT FITS IF IT DONT LOOK LIKE THIS WALK AWAY

Main clue is the adjusters wrong shock has two separate un's

If in any doubt pm or email me

like wise if you need any info on set up i am more than happy to
help

Few extras like double bubble screen, new avon storm 2 tyres, rear hugger, exhaust.

Bad points are needs a new rear disc, and an exhaust header bolt has snapped.

Have you ever wondered what the difference between Grandmothers and Grandfathers
Posted by: sinky - 19-11-11, 11:28 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

A friend, who worked away from home all week, always made a morning available when he would take his 7-year-old granddaughter for a drive in the car for some bonding time – just him and his granddaughter.

One particular Sunday, however, he had a bad cold and just wanted to stay in bed.. Luckily, his wife came to the rescue and said that she would take their granddaughter out in the car.

When they returned, the little girl anxiously ran upstairs to see how her Granddad was.
'Well, did you enjoy your ride with Grandma?'

'It was great, Granddad,' the little girl replied, 'and do you know what? We didn't see a single tosser, blind b@stard, f!$%-wit, dick-head, prick, w!$%er anywhere today!'
