  hesitation when opening throttle
Posted by: nickodemon - 17-11-11, 06:56 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (12)

I've got an issue with my gen 1 fazer when i snap open the throttle it hesitates then picks up. if i roll the throttle open it's fine It seems worse when its cold. I noticed the exup valve was out of adjustment, so corrected it, i also set the throttle position sensor. The way i did it was that you raise the revs to 3800 rpm then adjust until the revs are at max then tighten turn off then on and adjust tick over. Both of the adjustments didn't seem to make much difference :rolleyes  Any ideas?

Wanted: 99 FZS 600 Engine or Parts

Due to badly set up engine ( :o by me!) I need cylinder head, and one piston as a minimum. Might take whole engine if easier.

Thanks

Posted by: fazersol1 - 16-11-11, 10:58 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

GPR end can for sale. Excellent condition. I owned it for about 1 year before I sold the bike (02 FZS1000) to local dealer, so removed the can. No damage whatsoever.

Can, link pipe, 2 removable baffles, boxed with bubble wrap. I also bought a new clamp!

I will add photos to this post soon (I have only just found the new forum).

UK, West Midlands area.

£100.

  tingling vibs thro bars
Posted by: cable tie - 16-11-11, 08:56 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (14)

Ayup chaps, now since i changed my fairing inner pans to carbon ive noticed ive got very light tingling vibs in the bars not sure if it was already this as ive only rode the bike twice since changing the bars to renthal, and at the time oberone had no large stainless weights so ive got the large ali ones and the carbon pans seem to vibrate this did not happen with the stock plastic ones however i had lined the backs of em as well, so my 1st call is going to be line the backs of the carbon pans to eliminate the rattle/vib, now when it comes to bars, ive done a tinternet search and peeps seem to fill the bars up with silicon or expanding foam any one tried this!!

Anyone have one fitted? Do they make much difference to buffeting and wind noise? Do they look ok?

Why hello there.
I am looking to buy a bike this month and the 600 fazer seems to suit my needs.
Any thing I should look out for when buying?
