  DVLA shocker!
Posted by: BBROWN1664 - 25-11-11, 01:06 PM - Forum: General - Replies (16)

My photocard was due to expire in a couple of weeks so I used the Post Office service to renew it on Monday and then went away for work for a few days.
When I got home last night my replacement licence had arrived! Not only that, but they managed to keep all the groups on there that I had before too!

  Garden ramp access ideas
Posted by: alan sherman - 25-11-11, 11:48 AM - Forum: General - Replies (29)

moved house, thought I could get rear access, but no.  So to get the bike in I need to get it down the step at the front of the house and down the side way.

Ideas front the Foccer crowd?  it is 5 steps down, less than a metre drop I guess.  There is about 3 metres length to play with before the front door.  Access needs to remain pedestrian friendly as the (Old) neighbour has right of access along the path and steps.  it is too steep to be rideable but I was thinking about putting a channel / ramp next to the steps so I can walk up and down the steps and the bike gets wheeled down the ramp / motored up but with me walking next to it.  I think that would work ok.  Anyone down anything similar?  What did you use?

  Focer font of (cooking) knowlage!
Posted by: ghostbiker - 24-11-11, 11:54 PM - Forum: General - Replies (16)

Ok simple one i think but i didnt/dont know the right answer so....

I brought a Cookie mix to make some cookies. the pack has everything i need in other than butter. but i dont use butter i havent had butter for many years, i use a low fat spread that i doubt has more than a passing nod in the rough direction the 2nd cousin twice removed of butter.
So think i can use it in cooking of the said cookies? or do i need to buy a block of butter that i will never use again? Tongue

over to the chefs out there.

ps its a 39p pack that was on offer in morrisons so im not expecting that much anyway lol

  Engine noise
Posted by: adeejaysdelight - 24-11-11, 11:17 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

Hello Everyone,
Just new to the forum and looking forward to getting involved.
I bought an 00' plate Fazer 600 a few months ago and I plan to take her off the road at the end of the month to serve up some overdue TLC. One of the issues I plan to address is a noise coming from the engine. I think it is the cam chain on account of the type of noise. It sounds like a metalic slap rather than a tapping.
Is there a common fault with these machines?
Any help would be appreciated and hopefully save me some time.
Cheers

  Wanted 2002 FZS600 forks
Posted by: Glen M - 24-11-11, 11:07 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

As you may of read in my introduction post I was in an accident and damaged the front end of ther bike.  The big part I'm struggling to find is the forks.  I'm in Belfast, Northern Ireland and would be keen to speak to anyone selling a decent set of forks.

Glen M and whats left of his fazer :(
Posted by: Glen M - 24-11-11, 11:04 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (1)

Hi everyone.  I'm new here and will be looking some help over the coming months to rebuild my beloved 2002 FZS600.  A couple of months ago now I lost an argument with a turning car and went from the proud owner of a lovely bike to the proud owner of bits of a bike.  OK the damage aint that bad its all front end.  Forks, nose fairing, lights, clock, handle bars, mud guard, radiator etc etc.  So my winter plan is to rebuild.  Will post pictures of the progress in the forums.
